Above analysis by CIA as to how China befooled the Indian leadership prior to 1962 War is a clear cut testimony of China’s longstanding dislike of India. Come what may, it would never consider India a friend but a competitor, who can put spokes in the wheel of China’s global ambitions. Some recent actions of China with respect to India must not surprise defence planners in India. They ought to know that China can never be India’s friend in the true sense of the meaning of the word “Friendship”. Her overt gestures of friendship and peace are basically deceptive acts to hide her real intentions. China’s aggressive posture towards India and her hectic activities of rail-road construction in the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) along with positioning of its troops in the FCNA of Pakistan, some two years back, do not hide her future intentions about India. PLA (Chinese Army) recent forays over the last few months into Indian side of the Line of Control in Ladakh, do not exhibit any signs of real friendship.
China, in 1962 and a little prior to this, had annexed approximately 38,000 sq km of Indian territory in Jammu and Kashmir. Besides, in an agreement reached with China in 1963, Pakistan had ceded 5,180 sq km J&K territory in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir to China. China claims approximately 90,000 sq km of Indian territory in Arunachal Pradesh and about 2,000 sq km in the Middle Sector of the India-China boundary. China has often asserted that it does not recognise Arunachal Pradesh. There are, thus, serious fault lines in Sino-Indian relations which do not make them “genuine friends”, despite overtures of visible friendship by China, whether it was a recent warm handshake between Indian and Chinese Prime Ministers in Australia, during G-20 Meet in November 2014 or Chinese Strongman and President Xi Jinping’s much hyped visit to India in September 2014.
Before we go crystal gazing any further, let us see some of the recent acts of China:
(a) Though there have been reports of the presence of Chinese around 10,000 troops in POK for some time but their purpose was not known. It has now become clear that they were not there merely for maintenance and construction of roads but for a strategic design. It has been reported by the intelligence agencies and there are also press reports that China has been training Pakistani troops along the Line of Control in POK. Is it an act of Friendship?
(b) On April 15, 2013, some 50 PLA troops intruded into Indian territory, up to 19 km in Daulat Beg Oldi (DBO) Sector of Ladakh and established a tented camp. Thereafter PLA has flexed its muscles two to three times in the same place. Aggressive posture by PLA was aimed at sizing up India’s military prowess and its ability to question China. Are they friendly acts?
(c) A nuclear Submarine from China had recently anchored at a Sri Lankan port as part of its much claimed “String of Pearls” policy. Its ‘string of pearls’ spreads from Gwador in Pakistan through Hambantota in Sri Lanka to Myanmar. Besides, China had been busy in making forays into South Asia around India.
(d) For some years, China has been issuing Stappled Visas to Kashmiris, thus questioning its accession to India. Besides, it is in occupation of some 43,180 sq km of Indian territory in J&K.
(e) China has been slowly and steadily cozying up to India’s neighbours and making them hostile towards India. Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Myanmar have fallen into her pocket and now Bangladesh too, is being won over.
(f) In the past, China is known to have provided arms support and moral support to India’s separatists from the Northeast states. Naga hostiles and ULFA hostiles have been provided safe sanctuaries in China. Now Maoists and Naxalites have also been provided material support and training.
China has been covertly conducting ‘Cyber Warfare’ against India, aimed at affecting the command and control systems by virus attack on Indian official computers, either to make them dysfunctional or hack them to extract vital information. Towards this end, China has recently demonstrated her capability to shoot a satellite, which can cripple command and control systems based on satellite communications.
Also, China has been carrying out a clandestine trade war to capture markets frequented by Indian goods – like the Nigerian Malaria drug incident, where spurious medicines were being sold under brand name India. We all know that some months back, China had tried to block aid to Arunachal Pradesh from Asian Development Bank.
A Chinese defence strategist, Zhong Guo Zhan Lue Gang wrote an article, published in Chinese language on the Internet, on August 08, 2009. Though the article was meant for domestic consumption of China but it was linked to Chinese International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS). Therefore, it could not be ignored that it was not China’s official thinking. The article was later deleted from the website. The main thrust of the article was to break up India into 20-30 states. To do so, it advocated usage of hostile neighbours such as Pakistan and Maoist Nepal and cultivation of other countries around India.
Therefore one ought to understand that China has been steadily pursuing a policy of not only containing India both economically and militarily but break it up through internal implosion, being fused through an “Outsourced” WOM (War by Other Means) to Pakistan. Thus, China’s overall military strategy against India has been four pronged:
(a) Contain and isolate India by making her neighbours hostile and unfriendly.
(b) Outsource its low cost proxy war to Pakistan and Maoists / Naxalites by:
(i) Supporting and encouraging internal insurgencies brewing in India and thus break-up India through implosion.
(ii) Using Pakistan to the maximum to retard India’s military and economic growth.
(c) Dominate sea-lanes around India through a ‘String of Pearls’ policy.
(d) Befool Indian leadership and Indian public through overt goodwill gestures in the interregnum.

While dealing with China, India cannot lower its guard towards Pakistan. It is going to play “China game”, no matter what India does to mitigate her grievances. Pakistan is unreliable and India must NOT fall into “Peace Talks” trap of Pakistan. Instead, it should prepare grounds to engage her in Balochistan and KPK (KHYBER PAKHTOONKHWA) provinces. Time for open support to Pakhtoons, as does Pakistan in Kashmir. Show it to Pakistan that it has its own vulnerabilities in Karachi, Sindh and Tribal region of Waziristan. Pakistan is China’s main weapon against India. It is going to provide her all help, other than physical intervention in a military conflict.
Time to tell China that its Achilles heel lay in autonomous regions of Tibet and Outer Mangolia. Besides, UIGHAR Muslims of erstwhile East Turkistan or the Xinxiang province of China are as good a game as are the Kashmiri Muslims. Mainland China, too has serious economic and social problems. Democratic movement might have been checked but its simmering. The flames could rise any day if fuel is added. China’s neighbours like Vietnam, Taiwan and ASEAN nations are also not comfortable with China. They need a shoulder to rest and India can provide this shoulder, once it is clear to its Political leadership the significance of its “Look East Policy.”
In conclusion, one would only say that India has to develop a counter strategy which would effectively deal with all the four ingredients of China’s India strategy. Priority must be given to home made insurgencies, such as Maoists and J&K Militancies. India must develop strategic and military partnerships with Australia, Japan and Vietnam. It ought to cozy up to ASEAN states besides mollifying its Eastern and Southern neighbours. Pakistan must be kept at bay in KPK and Balochistan.

TELL ME O' SOLDIERS!

TELL ME O' SOLDIERS!-----

While unheard, uncared, unsung dies a soldier on a foreign soil,
The dishonest and corrupt enjoy the fruits of his sweat and toil;
Tell me O' Soldiers! Do you think that you die for nation's cause?
Even though corocodile tears would be shed at your family's loss?

A soldier falls to bullets of insurgents in the jungles of North East,
Hardly anyone cares as if he was some kind of a sacrificial beast!
Tell me o' soldiers! How do you think you protect the constitution?
While the leaders you lay your life for, weaken its very foundations!

A soldier is killed on the snow capped mountains of Siachen glacier,
Grateful nation's duty ends when a citation is placed in his dossier;
Tell me O'soldiers! What is the value of the medal in dead man's life?
Civilians care not though your kin might get a false sense of pride!

A soldier is tasked to carry out search and destroy mission in Kashmir;
Human rights acivists concoct story of rape and shed corocodile tears;
Tell me O' soldiers! Are you from "Heavens" without any human vices?
Why do they expect Zero-Error conduct from you even in national crisis?

When the floods come or the earth quake hits, they ask for soldier's aid;
Even when a child falls in a pit, soldiers mustered like household maids;
Tell me O' soldiers! Do you know what bureaucrats about soldiers say?
They caustically remark that only fools and idiots join armed forces today.

Confused by false promises the veterans get divided into various factions,
To some of them, even pursuit of personal agenda becomes an attraction;
Tell me O' soldiers! Does 'one rank-one pension' has no meaning for you?
Dare they not forget "Rajee" : one day they would join veterans ranks, too?

Rajee is a soldier!

If I'm wrong I've the courage to accept,
For, I never did claim I'm a man perfect ?

I believe in god though I might not pray-
Yet I must always say, what I want to say.

Be decent and graceful is philosophy of my life,
I would like to be respectful even in my strife;

And " RAJEE" is a soldier, not scared of affray-
Convince me if you can, "sorry", I would say.

TERRORIST ATTACK ON KARACHI AIRPORT AND THREAT TO INDIA !

BY BLAMING INDIA FOR DOUBLE TERRORISTS ATTACK ON KARACHI AIRPORT, IS HAFEEZ SAYEED OF LASKAR-e-TAIYABA ISSUING THREAT TO INDIA FOR REPEAT OF MUMBAI 26/11?
The double attack on Karachi Airport recently has prompted HAFEEZ SAYEED of LeT to say that it was the handiwork of India. To me, there is no doubt that he was speaking the language of Pakistan Army. It needs a breather and divert public attention. This attack has humiliated the army and established the capability of TTP to strike anywhere at will. The failed attempt of Pakistan army to reign in TTP in Waziristan has placed it in a very precarious conditions. Recent attack on Geo TV anchor, allegedly at the behest of ISI has further discredited Pakistan army. There is a law suit filed against it by Geo TV.
There is definitely something in the air and Pakistan army wants some big incident to divert public attention. Otherwise what good be her STRATEGIC ASSET, it has been nursing and feeding for years. Blaming India not only diverts public attention but it also covers up Pakistan Army's incompetence and inability to tackle TTP, a strategic asset turned foe.
 I am of the opinion that as long as Pakistan army calls its shots in Pakistan, democratic and political leadership has no say in matters of foreign policy and defence. Ayesha Siddiqa, Pakistani defence analyst has recently observed that democratic traditions did not mean that Pakistan army was prepared to give up its control on security and foreign policy. So Nawaz Sharief, Zardaris and Bhuttos can come and go but Pakistan Army retains the real power. Army's interests lay not in confronting the JIHADIS or the TALIBAN but a HINDU INDIA, who had humiliated her in 1971. The scars of Bangla Desh war are too deep on Pakistan military psyche to forget it.
Therefore, despite all track II diplomacy talks and Prime Ministerial visits, India can not sit idle and think that KARACHI can not be enacted in India. It is very much on the cards, may be in days or months or even in a year's time. How should India respond? Answer is clear and simple : cut diamond with diamond. Use the same tactics as does Pakistan Army. Energize your DTD, too. Amongst various options available, the worst is not to do anything as was done by UPA government. The best option is to pay back in the same coin. Make LeT supremo's words become a prophecy. Let Pakistan know that WOM (War By Other Means) is coming home to hatch the eggs, it laid everywhere.
Pakistan's Achilles heel is Afghanistan------ India must invest there heavily financially and militarily. Make the strategic partnership with Afghanistan so attractive that even Afghan TALIBAN falls for it. Time to pay back to apak military in the same coin. Let Baluchis, Hazaras, Mohajirs, Shias and minorities such as Christians, Sikhs and HINDUS become the striking arm of Indian intelligence agencies. Don"t forget you need diamond to cut diamond. Time has come to shed moralistic stand and play a realist's game.
INDIA MUST WARN PAKISTAN : WE SHALL DO UNTO YOU AS YOU DO TO US!
Pakistan has always openly given moral, material, military and financial support to separatists of Kashmir and other insurgents groups in India. It does not dither in calling Indian terrorists and violence mongers of Kashmir as " freedom Fighters". ISI is even suspected to prop up MAOISTS/ NAXALITES. It has been 25 years since 1989, when Pakistan sponsored WOM ( War By Other Means) was launched on India in the form of " AZADI MOVEMENT" in Kashmir and KHALISTAN MOVEMENT in Punjab. India and Indians, since then, have suffered a lot at the hands of Pakistan.
Caught in the whirlpool of its moralistic stand, India has been only hoping that some day Pakistan might come to terms with the realities of the present times. Unfortunately, while general public in Pakistan might be wanting to come to terms with the ground reality, Pakistan's military establishment, who controls Pakistan, does not allow these general sentiments of the public in Pakistan to dominate the decision making.
The reason is obvious: the day relations between India and Pakistan normalise on the realities of 21st Century, military establishment in Pakistan loses its shine. It would have No ENEMY to emotionally blackmail people of Pakistan. Why would Generals of Pakistan military like to lose their pre- eminence in public life of Pakistan. Anti India stance also allows Pakistan military to cover up their goof-ups since general elections in Pakistan of 1970-71.
If Bangla Desh is no more a part of Pakistan today, the responsibility fully lies with Pakistani military and its blinded Generals. Its anti India obsession led to a dream of STRATEGIC DEPTH in Afghanistan and controlling Afghanistan. This gave birth to TALIBAN, who is like FRANKENSTIEN's MONSTER and is devouring vitals of Pakistan, today. Besides, as part of its WOM on India, it created an army of "Irregular soldiers" in the form of JIHADIS, whom it conveniently dubs today as NON STATE ACTORS. Thus, Lashker-e- Taiyba ( LeT) , Hizbul Mujahidins (HM) or now infamous INDIAN MUJAHIDINS (IM) were reared in ISI's Jihadi Factories and unleashed on India.
Time for India to tell Pakistan : you are welcome to do to us, what you want to do, but we have the rights to do the same the same to you and we shall do it without any inhibitions now. Expect no magnanimity from us. And we shall do it with more vigor and zeal. Let Baluchis, Mohazir, Hazara, Shia, Ahmadia , Pakhtoon and Sindh liberation armies mushroom in Pakistan to make its military taste its own medicine. WOM is the answer for WOM.
It is time for India to tell Pakistan that we do not trust you any more. You have honored no pact and agreement since 1947 , whether it was UNO resolution of 13 August 1948, or host of other agreements such as KARACHI Agreement of 1949; Taskent Pact of 1966, SHIMLA Agreement of 1972 or even Lahore declaration of 1999. And we are not bound to honour any other bilateral pact, whether it was Indus Water treaty or MFN status to Pakistan.
It is time to tell Pakistan Military : DO NOT BLACKMAIL US BY THREATENING TO 'NUKE' INDIA.We will respond with double the ferocity. We might survive but you shall evaporate. You want war , we are ready to fight it. Let us have another "MAHABHARTA".
It is time for India to tell its own peace enthusiasts like Kuldeep Nayyar or Arun Dhati Roy to shut up. It is time for India to wind up its Track II diplomacy shop . They have achieved nothing and they shall do nothing. Track II is a Pakistani ploy to keep fooling the India leadership with hopes of peace , while Pakistan military keep pin pricking India.
Let me tell all PEACE ENTHUSIASTS or AMAN KI ASHA EXPONENTS that peace and harmony in South Asia is not possible until Pakistan military is subordinated to Pakistan's political leadership in real terms. And this is in the hands of general public of Pakistan. It has to rise against the misdeeds of its military. It has to ask for dismantling of its own GESTAPO like organization called ISI.
Till it happens, Indian leadership has no business to talk peace with Pakistan. It is a sheer waste of time. TRACK II has become a hub of Seven Star dining and wining at government expenses on both sides. Generals and bureaucrats, who fill its ranks, are NOT going to resolve any issue. They promise hope because of their own survival to ensure their longevity. It is time for India to be realistic on Pakistan and shed all presences of peace till Pakistan army and its Generals are blasted in Pakistan like it happens in India. It is time India give itself break from hopes on Pakistan realistically mending fences with it.

ARTICLE 370 : LET US EDUCATE OUR SELVES.

Article 370 of India constitution applies to the state of J& K. It limits Indian parliament authority of law making  for J&K state to only four subjects I.e. Defence, Foreign affairs, communications and ancillaries. It prohibits all Indian citizens from buying any property in the state, whereas a citizen of J&K can buy property anywhere in India. If a girl from J&K marries outside the state , she loses her statehood of J&K and all those protected rights. Article was a temporary provision, included at the behest of Jawahar Lal Nehru, though vehemently opposed by Dr. BR Ambedkar.

A debate has begun as to whether it has really benefitted the general public of the state or not. Most people argue that it has only been assisting some political families of J&K to maintain their political hold over the state. And this argument definitely has a convincing evidence on the ground. Militancy and terrorism in J&K, in the late 80s, is the product of this Nehruvian philosophy of propping up of Abdulla Family at the cost of the interests of General public. The article is discriminatory to other Indian public and India.

Let us understand why Dr. Ambedkar objected to this provision. Dr. BR Ambedkar, father of Indian Constitution had told Shekh Abdulla in 1949, "---You wish India should protect your borders, she should build roads in your area, she should supply you food grains, and Kashmir should get equal status as India. But Government of India should have only limited powers and Indian people should have no rights in Kashmir. To give consent to this proposal, would be a treacherous thing against the interests of India and I, as the Law Minister of India, will never do it."

 Then Sheikh Abdullah went to Nehru, who directed him to Gopal Swami Ayyangar, who approached Sardar Patel asking him to do some thing as it was a matter of prestige of Nehru, who has promised Sheikh Abdullah accordingly. Patel got it passed when Nehru was on foreign tour. On the day this article came up for discussion, Dr. Ambedkar did not reply to questions on it though he did participate on other articles. All arguments were done by Krishna Swami Ayyangar.

What does Article370 Contain?

370. Temporary provisions with respect to the State of Jammu and Kashmir.

(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Constitution,—

(a) the provisions of article 238 shall not apply in relation to the state of Jammu and Kashmir;
(b) the power of Parliament to make laws for the said state shall be limited to—
(i) those matters in the Union List and the Concurrent List which, in consultation with the Government of the State, are declared by the President to correspond to matters specified in the Instrument of Accession governing the accession of the State to the Dominion of India as the matters with respect to which the Dominion Legislature may make laws for that State; and
(ii) such other matters in the said Lists as, with the concurrence of the Government of the State, the President may by order specify.

Explanation: For the purpose of this article, the Government of the State means the person for the time being recognised by the President as the Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir acting on the advice of the Council of Ministers for the time being in office under the Maharaja's Proclamation dated the fifth day of March, 1948;

(c) the provisions of article 1 and of this article shall apply in relation to that State;
(d) such of the other provisions of this Constitution shall apply in relation to that State subject to such exceptions and modifications as the President may by order specify:
Provided that no such order which relates to the matters specified in the Instrument of Accession of the State referred to in paragraph (i) of sub-clause (b) shall be issued except in consultation with the Government of the State:
Provided further that no such order which relates to matters other than those referred to in the last preceding proviso shall be issued except with the concurrence of that Government.
(2) If the concurrence of the Government of the State referred to in paragraph (ii) of sub-clause (b) of clause (1) or in the second proviso to sub-clause (d) of that clause be given before the Constituent Assembly for the purpose of framing the Constitution of the State is convened, it shall be placed before such Assembly for such decision as it may take thereon.

(3) Notwithstanding anything in the foregoing provisions of this article, the President may, by public notification, declare that this article shall cease to be operative or shall be operative only with such exceptions and modifications and from such date as he may specify:
Provided that the recommendation of the Constituent Assembly of the State referred to in clause (2) shall be necessary before the President issues such a notification. ( NOTE THE WORDS CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE------- WHICH IS ACTUALLY DEFUNCT NOW-------- THEREFORE PRESIDENT HAS THE POWERS TO DO AWAY WITH IT WITHOUT REFERRING TO A DEFUNCT BODY)

IMPLICATIONS OF ARTICLE 370 :-

This article specifies that except for Defence, Foreign Affairs, Communications and ancilliary matters (matters specified in the instrument of accession) the Indian Parliament needs the State Government's concurrence for applying all other laws. Thus the state's residents lived under a separate set of laws, including those related to citizenship, ownership of property, and fundamental rights, as compared to other Indians.

Some argue that the President may, by public notification under article 370(3), declare that Article 370 shall cease to be operative and no recommendation of the Constituent Assembly is needed as it does not exist any longer. Others say it can be amended by an amendment Act under Article 368 of the Constitution and the amendment extended under Article 370(1). Art. 147 of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir states no Bill or amendment seeking to make any change in the provisions of the constitution of India as applicable in relation to the State; shall be introduced or moved in either house of the Legislature.

RECIPE FOR GOVERNING INDIA : GO SLOW Mr. MODI !

You shall be the Prime Minister, if the exit polls survey is true. How are you going to govern this heterogenous country , with social, religious, regional, lingual and political fault lines clearly stratified? These five ghettos of mental confines ought to be smashed before you think of doing anything. What is the recipe?

My take is GO SLOW initially, Mr. Narender Modi. Study very clearly the handicaps and compulsions of governing India. Socially and politically, India is a complex mess of hypocrites. Understand this very clearly. Those who praise you on your face would abuse you at your back. Remember the principle : WHEN EVERYONE PRAISES YOU, THERE OUGHT TO BE SOMETHING DRASTICALLY WRONG IN WHAT YOU ARE DOING. Instantly , stop in your tracks and review your decisions. Dissent and difference are the sharpening tools of administrative and governing skills. Encourage dissent but curb arrogance.

You must understand, Gujarat is not India but it is part of complex mess of India. You can not apply templates of Gujarat model of administration across the board. India needs a more liberal and broader framework of governance. In so doing, BUREAUCRACY HAS TO BE MADE MORE RESPONSIBLE AND ACCOUNTABLE. Presently, bureaucracy is enjoying powers without any responsibility. If a politician, security forces and policemen are held responsible for security lapses or in controlling of criminal acts in their respective areas, why not SDMs, DCs or HOME SECRETARIES of State and Central governments? Power without responsibility and accountability is the mother of corruption. This is what has been happening in India. Sonia Gandhi was holding power , while MMS was held accountable. Thus, scams and scandals became the order of the day. Same is applicable to Indian bureaucracy. Their heads must first roll when lapses take place.

Your priorities should be three folds : National Security; balanced economic growth and redefining Secularism. There should be NO compromise with these three priorities. While national security includes both external and internal threeats, we must know that danger to Indian security is more from Internal enemy, who is playing in the hands of our Northern and Western adversaries. ISI of Pakistan has launched a WOM ( War By Other Means) on India. This WOM is outsourced to Pakistan by China, who wants to break up India through MAOISTS MOVEMENT.

Balance economic growth should aim at bridging the islands of underdevelopment. While economic reforms must be processed relentlessly, yet the plight of underprivileged and poor must not be ignored. Rising prices and industrial stagnation has slowed the growth of India. Also, liberalization of economy , since 1991, has made rich super rich , while poor have have marginally improved their plight. Economic reforms must keep this segment of the society in mind. Poverty alleviation will come through job creation and NOT reservation.

Redefining of secularism would demand get all communities released from the religious grip of their clerics. Education and equal opportunities must be provided to the needy. Policy of reservation needs to ensure that those who have availed the facility once are excluded from further utilization. This must be extended on economic lines and not by caste, creed and religion.

Major minority community of India has basic fears about the name MODI. Therefore there would be an urgent need to carry them with you. Extra efforts have to be made. Task is difficult but deeds and actions would speak louder than mere speeches. They must get a feeling of equality with others. While the educated ones amongst them do understand, it is the illiterate and uneducated who fall prey to false propaganda of vested interests.

Penultimately, nation has pinned a lot of hopes on you. Move carefully ahead. You cannot afford to fail. You all have talked too much on vote bank politics practised by others. Now is your chance to demolish this infrastructure.

Finally, do not spare the culprits, who have looted this country. Bring back all the money from foreign countries. All the scams and scandals of the last 10 years must be expeditiously investigated and culprits booked. There should be no vindictive action, though. Time to rebuild new values and institutions , suiting 21st century India.

YEH DIL MAANGE MORE" ----- BASELESS CONTROVERSY !

Strange it is, that whatever Narender Modi says is lapped up by the media and his opponents. What about Sheikh Abdulla, who wanted to throw into the ocean, all those who vote for Modi? No case has been registered against him. CEC and state EC have gone into deep slumber, I suppose. What about "BAUKHALAYE HUE CHUHE" (Panicking rats) statement of Priyanka Vadra? Ever since , she has jumped into the fray, name calling has increased many folds.

I was listening to the debate on Times Now, on the night of April 29,2014. I heard people blasting NARENDER Modi for using these FOUR WORDS, "YEH DIL MAANGE MORE",attributed to Capt Vikram Batra, PVC of Kargil-99 Fame. Sorry , MAROOF RAZA, this time, I do not go along with you. You put up a very very emotional front but without substance. Maj Gen GD Bakshi and Col Anil KAUL were given a shut up call by Arnab Goswami, because their views were contrary to the official thinking of the anchor of Times Now, the man, who exploits people's emotions to increase his Channel's TRP.

To me, it was clear that an issue was being made out of a NON- ISSUE , with political intents. Congress was crying hoarse for nothing. Let me say , at the outset, reasoning given by AAP rep and Late Capt Vikram's father was atrocious. I say, even Col Vijayant Thapar was wide off the mark. Did they care to ask Arnab Goswami about the recent killing in J&K of an Army Major and a Jawan? Mrs Bhandarkar did raise the issue but she was snubbed by Arnab Goswami. This is the respect they pay to Martyrs. Vikram Batra is an issue because his mother is contesting elections on AAP ticket.

I question the very motives of his mother. Is the slogan of "JAI JAWAN; JAI KISAN" the sole property of LB Shastri family? When Atal Vihari added "JAI VIGYAN" to it, did he politicise it? In fact, he added value to it. When Narender Modi talked about YEH DIL MAANGE MORE, he revived the memories of Capt Vikram Batra----which everyone had forgotten, even his parents, whose sole criterion of getting AAP candidacy is the PVC of Vikram Batra. They did not think twice on AAP views on J&K.

I do not understand as to how was it politicization of a martyr? Is it because Vikram Batra's mother is contesting election on AAP ticket? It is shameful that Vikram's mother does not know about AAP views of refrendum on Kashmir and its terrorism, for which her son achieved martyrdom. If she knows , then why did she ignore it or it is just pure political ENCASHMENT of her Son's martyrdom? Asking Modi to not to put up a candidate against her, is a sheer example of politicalization. It is shameful that those who cry about politicalization are actually involved in it. Do we know how this quote was extracted out of Late Capt Vikram Batra? Had he been alive, he would have been in trouble for this?

I was in the thick of KARGIL FIASCO and I know the inside stories. Let me make an observation : KARGIL WAS RETRIEVED FROM PAKISTANI INTRUDERS NOT BECAUSE OF GALLANT EFFORTS OF INDIAN ARMY GENERALS BUT BY THE MASTER STROKE OF " GENERAL BILL CLINTON" , WHO EAR TWISTED NAWAZ SHARIEF LIKE A SCHOOL STUDENT. You must know that terrain in KARGIL is such that there was a TIGER HILL every 500 meters over a front of 150kms by 10 KMs. Indian army would have taken decades to clear it with massive casualties.

Indian Generals had committed a blunder in vacating these posts in winters of 1998 and Pakistan Army clandestinely occupied it slowly. In 97-98 winters, Kargil Brigade was depleted by one battalion from FOUR to THREE and the fourth battalion came to me at Pharkian Gali----I do not understand what was this appreciation? During the thick of Kargil conflict, Indian Generals were caught playing golf by GEORGE FERNANDEZ, when casualties from Kargil were coming to Srinagar. Some others were involved in MAY FLOWER fashion Parades and ARBORICULTURE competitions. Less said the better for the crocodile tears being shed now.

In fact, the way gallantry awards were dished out by then NDA government for a WAR LIKE SITUATION or even HALF A WAR, it was questioned by even the veterans. If it was NOT a full fledged war, then, award of over 500 gallantry awards including FOUR PVC, was questioned by many. It was said that liberal distribution of awards was to cover up the failure of NDA Government and Army HQ in not only detecting it but also mishandling it.

When Kargil- intrusion was detected in May 1999, then Northern Army commander , Lt Gen HM Khanna, had boasted that he would throw out the intruders in 48 hours. Army Chief, then, had pushed off to Poland. When a journalist had questioned him on his visit to Poland, he had given a very funny reply, which I do not wish to state here.

You see, this quote of YEH DIL MAANGE MORE, by Late Capt Vikram Batra, was made famous through an inappropriate (Cannot say clandestine) interview in a forward bunker in Kargil by a NDTV female journalist, you know who? How did she manage to reach the forward area of Combat Zone, when Capt Vikram Batra was about to move ifor another attack within hours of this sound byte? She was, then trying to earn a name for her and it is alleged that she got herself smuggled into the war zone with the help of Late Capt Vikram Batra. I doubt if she was a defence accredited correspondent, then, because NDTV was just launched in January 1998. All this ought to be forgotten because the brave heart had done an act greater than the offense he had committed. You do not question the martyr for the wrong doing.

SELLING ICE CUBES IN ANTARCTICA------INDIAN SECURITY, SECULARISM AND INDIAN POLITICS !

I read somewhere that great URDU lyricist and a poet, Mazrooh Sultanpuri, when asked about his well being by another poet and lyricist of repute, Javed Akhtar, had quipped : अन्धों के शहर में आइने बेच रहा हूँ (I am selling mirrors in the city of blinds). It sums up the state of affairs of Indian politics in 2014. To talk of moralities and ethics in politics is akin to giving a comb to a bald person. I am aghast at the way Indian media and politicians are behaving. Both have thrown national security to the winds. They have been blinded by the craze for TRP and VOTE BANK Politics, respectively. Result: INDIAN DEFENCE AND SECURITY IS IN DOL DRUMS; WHILE CHINA AND PAKISTAN ARE HAVING A HEARTY LAUGH ON INDIAN GOOFS.

Indian media is the worst. It excels in adding fuel to the fire, just for the sake of TRP. They create news by provoking two opposite sides. Narender Modi has rightly called Indian Media as NEWS TRADERS. it would do anything to sell its half cocked news. Unfortunately, politicians, of all hue and cry, are so irresponsible that they fall prey to it. Media, like post office, carries these words from one politician to another and thus stoke fires of disdain, hate and revenge. Non -issues are made Issues. While Media and politicians are busy raping Indian national Security, Election Commission is out of sync with the situation. It only thinks in terms of elections and not the national security, which should be its prime responsibility , during elections. It must stop hate mongering and use of provocative words with a heavy hand.

Take the case of words like monster, butcher, merchant of death, Baukhalye hue Chuhe (Panicking Rats), Jallad (जल्लाद),Zeharila (Poisonous), Paper Tiger, Jija ji (Brother-in-law), and Pakistani agents. It is sad to know that these words are uttered by the highly educated and qualified persons. Who would have thought that Derek Oberoi of TMC, the famous quizz master would stoop so low in his vocabulary. Look at Farook Abdulla, a very seasoned politician, reacting in a most undesirable manner. PRIYANKA Vadra, Jay Lalita, Mamta Bannerjee, Mayawati, Mulayam Singh Yadav, Lalu Yadav, Beni Parsad Verma, Sonia Gandhi, GIRIRAJ Singh of BJP and AZAM Khan of SP, are some of the grand names, who indulge in games of "Name -calling". You would say, as to why I did not include Modi and Rahul Gandhi? Modi, because he is being provoked by others and Rahul has not resorted to name calling. His words like TOFEE MODEL and other rants are within the realm of decent politics.

Election Commission should have acted firmly to check this menace, turning into an epidemic. However, it has not only failed to do so, but shown its bias, too. Why hasn't commission asked UP government to arrest AZAM Khan? Why no action has been taken against Beni Parsad Verma, for his repeated jibes? Why PRIYANKA Gandhi has not been checked from calling political opponents as PANICKING RATS? Why Farook Abdulla has not been questioned for his unethical comment? Electronic media has latched on to these words to widen the gulf between various political opponents.

I personally feel the whole emphasis of all political parties is on MUSLIM VOTERS. There is a horse race amongst all political outfits to garner Muslim votes. They are going overboard with pleas to please Muslim Clerics, who are the VOTE BROKERS of this community. In the bargain, if they have to ignore national security, so be it. Winning election is the foremost criterion. The fools they are, because they do not realise if there is no India tomorrow, where would they win elections. But I don't think they can see beyond their nose and look beneath the surface.

It seems the onus of saving SECULARISM in India is only on the poor Muslims. There is a prevailing myth if Muslims do not vote TACTICALLY, Secular status of India would be damaged. What rubbish? Indian Secularism, perpetuated by years of Congress vote bank politics, is like a city of blinds, where to seed real secularism is like growing wheat in the arid land.

Take the case of VIOLENCE in the BODO areas of Assam. It is a reflection on Congress spread Secularism in India. This kind of secularism has not only affected the demography of tribal areas in Assam but also threatened national security. Issue is not of Muslims versus BODOS or Muslims versus HINDUS, which is the stand of congressmen and other blind politicians of India. Issue is of Foreign Nationals illegally entering India and being settled by politicians unjustifiably, just as their vote bank.

This was the reason, why ASSAM AGITATION had sprung up in 1979. It is still simmering and now it had got the backing of China. It is a very serious matter and it needed to be handled firmly with restraints enforced on the verbal semantics of politicians. While verbal aerobatics are at display, firm handling has been relegated to second place. I think Election Commission has failed in its duty to check political parties, from raising fingers at each other without proper investigation. This slugfest is harmful for national security.

Congress has made this as a HINDU Versus Muslims issue, just to garner Muslim votes in the ongoing elections. How sad that congress has adopted an escapist attitude by palming off the blame to NARENDER Modi. Fact of the matter is that in the interest of NATIONAL SECURITY, India has to NOT ONLY check infiltration from Bangla Desh but also return those who have illegally entered. India. We must know that most of this migration is ISI- Sponsored to tilt the demographic structure and severe North East from India.

Parties like TMC of Mamta Bannerjee are also behaving like congress, may be worse than that. Mamta's recent statement, daring NARENDER Modi to try and return Bangla Deshis to Bangla Desh, speaks about her and her party's "thought - Immobilization" on National security. Such a bankruptcy of thoughts on National security by the political class of India bodes ill for national integrity and defence. Mamta Bannerjee has done enough harm to national security and earliest West Bengal gets rid of her better it is not only for India but also for West Bengal.

It is time Indian politicians pay attention to National security. This includes AAP, whose credentials , too are suspect. Let us not make everything a Majority versus minority issue. It is time Indian Muslims, stop taking the call of MULLAS,/ MAULVIS and vote according to their conscience. It is time they consider themselves at par with others and second to none. It is time for them to shoo away religious clerics and divisive politicians. They ought to live in 21st Century.

Same applies to those HINDUS who shout about establishing "HINDU Rashtra". Every politician must know the rudimentary fact that to govern this country effectively, everyone must be treated equally, without considerations of caste, creed, religion, language and region. This is Secularism. Divisive provisions of "Reservations" must go. Everyone must get equal opportunities to grow in a flat but INDIANISED LANDSCAPE.

BANGLA DESHI INFILTRATION AND IMPACT ON NATIONAL SECURITY

BANGLA DESHI INFILTRATION AND IMPACT ON NATIONAL SECURITY

A hot debate ensues on NARENDER MODI chiding MAMTA BANNERJEE to stop BANGLA DESHI INFILTRATION, if she thinks she was a "Real Bengal Tiger". This was in response to her jibe in which she had called him a "paper tiger". The contours of the debate are a poor reflection of the understanding of national security issue by the debaters. A deliberate attempt is being made to turn this security issue into a social problem.

Unfortunately, the issue of illegal entry and infiltration from Bangla Desh has been made to look "HINDU MUSLIM" issue by Indian politicians. Muslim politicians and media have twisted the whole issue just to serve their vested interests. Instead of reviewing this infiltration as a serious threat to national security, it has become an issue of sympathy for the infiltrators. I am aghast at the way the whole issue is being swept under the carpet.

Continued infiltration from Bangla Desh is a deliberate exercise planned and executed by ISI of Pakistan, as an OUTSOURCED WAR on India by China. The objective of Sino- Pak strategy on India is to make it explode internally. It has been employing two- fold tactics:-

(a) Change demographic structure of North East and West Bengal with a definite purpose of creating conditions of secession on religious and ethnic lines.

(b) Initiate, coordinate and support Maoists / Naxalite insurgency; North East militancy and a proxy war in J&K with a view to break up India into micro dots on the world map.

The attention of the reader is invited to an article in GLOBAL TIMES, a Chinese government online Magazine, who in 2009, had recommended to break up India into 20-30 states. It was later withdrawn. But the fact remains, the objective of China remains the same. It has been cultivating Pakistan , purely with this motive, even after it was known that Jihadis, trained in Pakistan, have been spearheading the militancy in Sinkiang region of China, where Uighar Muslims are up in arms against China. Therefore, China is looking forward to a bigger dividend by ignoring activities of Pakistani Jihadis and remove India as a potential rival in the future geo-strategic environments of the region.

China's STRING OF PEARLS policy around coastal region of India, spreading from Siri in Myanamar, through Hambantota of SriLanka to warm water port at Gwador in Pakistan, is a clear indication of containment of India and reduce Indian influence outside its borders. China has been testing Indian leadership by provocative intrusion in Leh. Even now, during Indian elections to Parliament, there are reports of Chinese intrusion in Leh. It is a known principle that peace and friendship with neighbors today flow through the barrel of demonstrable military strength. Poor responses of leadership to such situations not only affect military morale but also reduce military's capability to respond effectively. Weak and vacillating nations are often a spectacle of international ridicule.

Continued infiltration of Bangla Deshis must be seen as a serious threat to national security. Bangladeshi Muslims are being deliberately encouraged to migrate to India. Purpose of the migrations is to not only to change demographic profile of the North East but also to boost the insurgency in region. The rants by leaders like Mamta Bannerjee ought to be condemned with this thought in mind. It must not be allowed to become an emotional issue, nor it must be allowed to be seen as a move against the Muslims.

It is because of National security, badly neglected hither to for last ten years, that India needs a strong central government. India must avoid the conglomeration of regional satraps with 'state-specific agendas', mixed with personal motives of the leaders. Coalition governments are anti - thesis of national security. It could be NARENDER MODI or anybody else with a strong presence in the parliament, which prevents horse trading. As too many cooks spoil the broth so does coalition of parties, which leads to weak governments, resulting into policy paralysis and bankruptcy of performance.

Strong government would focus on national Security and prevent leg pulling by the allies. Policy paralysis of the government would end. Decision making would be streamlined. Bullying by neighbors would be effectively responded.

Threat from internal enemies would be effectively tackled. We must remind ourselves that in the world of BRAIN FORCE WARS of the 21st Century, it has become abundantly clear that absolute direct wars ( ADWs) have been replaced by WOM (War by Other Means). Such wars lay emphasis on exploitation of internal weaknesses of your opponents. Sponsored violence, militancy and insurgency are its bye- products. And India has many such cleavages, which are being exploited by SINO- PAK nexus.

ULFA movement was conceived in the womb of Foreign nationals in 1979. It still keeps simmering after 35 years. Its militant leader, Paresh Barua is in the lap of China, as stated by Media. Recent violence in the BODO AREAS of Assam shows tribal resentment against infiltration. This ought to be checked for India to sustain and survive.

In view of the above, nation needs a strong central government which is not at the mercy of its partners. UPA government has shown as to how ineffective becomes the most brilliant person. Much needed Economic reforms have been lost sight of and government was only busy doing the balancing act amongst its coalition partners. Security issues like Chinese intrusion in Ladakh or Pakistani aggressive acts in Kashmir and elsewhere were met with meek responses.

CONGRESS AND ITS VETERANS

Yes, yes, we are congress veterans;
As bonded labour, we follow our patron;
Our brief is not to apply our mind-----
About real truth, we are absolutely blind.

Corruption defines our 10 year tenure,
Certainly our misdeeds none will adore;
That's why we all are awfully scared;
If incorruptible Modi occupies PM's chair!

Yea! Yea!! We did try our utmost best---
"Fake encounter" failed,'snoopgate' burst;
Seems to prevent rise of this Modi fellow,
Our earnest attempts seems to be hollow.

We started this with Isharat Jahan Case-
On Gujarat model, we showered no praise,
'Merchant of death',was title given to him;
'Model code violation', we made it look grim.

"Secularism in danger", slogan was created;
As an anti-Muslim face, his image berated,
Spread the word "Modi stokes communal fires";
Alas! It does not work as Muslims are tired.

Then came AAP and became our only hope,
Frustrated youth of India came to it in droves,
We leisurely invested in it without inhibition;
But it betrayed itself due to inner contradiction.

One may say, "we are fighting a losing battle",
And Congress might seem to be badly rattled--
Yet, like 'Goebbels',we must turn lies into truth;
How does it matter if you brand us as uncouth?

ENSURING MALFUNCTIONING OF INDIAN DEMOCRACY!

ENSURING MALFUNCTIONING OF INDIAN DEMOCRACY!

> Arvind Kejriwal has resigned from the post of Chief Ministership of Delhi. He dramatized his exit. But he confirmed my opinion of him that he was an escapist. Or may be "escapism" is a deliberate act with something else scripted or planned. I reckon there was something messy about the whole act of resignation, for sure.
>
> A question comes to my mind if through his 'Blame- game- philosophy', he has been trying to make a virtue out of his incapability? I know that he likes to play to the gallery but, then, he lacks the will to do what his audience want. He does not stick to his promises made. He melts under pressure or is it a deliberately planned melt down? He backs out from his resolves. He oscillates like a pendulum from one decision to another on the same subject. This man is a complex mix of confusion or is it a put up act?
>
> What now? I suppose that he would continue to chastise others as corrupt and dishonest. He would continue to promise moon to the people. And the Indians like big talking "messiahs". Have you wondered ever as to why India swarms with multitudes of Godmen? They are available in India for dime a dozen.
>
> It is because of typical Indian psyche: they want God or a prophet to resolve their daily problems? At the drop of a hat they run to fortune tellers to know of ways and means to alleviate their sufferings. Look at the news papers and TV Channels, who carry weekly/ daily columns/ programs on ' what Stars foretell'. Our history is rampant with examples from Som Nath Temple to modern day KPs (Pundits of Kashmir) as to how much we depend on the "Messiahs" to come and rescue us. We all await others to resolve our problems. This is why people like Kejriwal, Bapu Asaram, NIrmal Baba, Nityanand and host of other such "babas" have "herds" following them. Indians prefer to be followers than lead.
>
> Now what will Arvind Kejriwal do? My sixth sense tells me that he would continue to sell dreams to god-fearing Indians and become the "God man" that they were waiting for to come and relieve them of all their miseries. You know God men never deliver, they only give discourses. And Arvind Kejriwal excels in giving harangues. I wonder if Delhites are going to make some shrine for him or may be an Ashram!
>
> And what is likely to happen? My prediction is that May 2014 'General Elections' would throw up a badly hung Loksabha, where a Maya or Mulayam or even Mamta or a Lalita would be thrown up as a leader of the nation with 22-25 MPs. A number of regional satraps would join him/her to extract their pound of flesh. A dying Congress will, then, support such a weak 'combination of opportunists' to ensure misdeeds of her rule between 2004 to 2014 remain under wraps. Congress game plan would be to lie low for sometimes before favorable conditions are created to strike. And such conditions, no doubts, would be created because of conflicting interests of regional satraps. Kejriwal and AAP exist to fill up this time vacuum.
>
> One suspects that it was for this purpose Kejriwal had been propped up since 2005. It might not be directly done by Congress. Even Arvind Kejriwal might not know that he was being prepared as a sacrificial goat. The forces inimical to India have been cleverly working behind the scenes. In a well worked out script,It seems some outside agencies have been managing Arvind Kejriwal's Social/political career. He was awarded with Ramon Magasaysay Award in 2005, which probably, he also won't know for what. Then, he was brought close to Munish Sisodia's NGO "Kabir", wholly funded by foreign agencies. Munish Sisodia is an ex journalist, known very well outside the borders of India. Even Arvind Kejriwal had been on two years study leave to USA between the years1998 to 2000.
>
> After leaving Indian revenue Service (IRS) Arvind Kejriwal first joined Mother Teresa organization to get recognized and then infiltrated into Anna Hazare movement. When he got all India recognition, he quickly changed stance and shifted to a political platform. And now, when it became obvious that Arvind was getting exposed on his inability to deliver, he was manipulated to quit, lest the game plan gets stalled and he loses his credibility. His emergence on Indian political scene was not to govern but to ensure malfunctioning of Indian political system. And, thus, life would be squeezed out of India. May be the grand Indian civilization would go the "ATLANTIS" way.
>
> It seems, whether he knows it or not, Arvind Kejriwal has been prepared, organised and groomed all along to act as a spoil-sport for 2014 General elections. Why ? Well ! Apparently, it is not only to prevent unearthing of lakhs of Crores of Indian money swindled out of India but also to either weaken the nation or break it up into micro dots on the world map. May be Indian politicians in major political parties, such as Congress, including AAP, are so blinded by their personal agendas that they do not see the looming dangers of a weak coalition Government at the centre.

> China's outsourced WOM ( War by Other Means) on India through Pakistan's ISI is fructifying through Maoists and Naxalite movement. AAP and Arvind Kejriwal are unwittingly facilitating this war. Only way it could be stopped was to ensure that a strong leader swings to power after 2014 General Elections. Thus, a script was prepared by foreign agencies in cahoot with Indian collaborators to ensure malfunctioning of Indian political system, so as to stop a strong central government, headed by a clean and honest man.
>
> The planners of this strategy saw a serious threat from a strong man from Gujarat and thus two pronged strategy was worked out to stop him from coming to power. First prong was to make personal attacks on him directly by media onslaughts through manipulated NGOs to label charges of communalism and anti Muslim riots of 2002. At the same time, second prong was to create hurdles on his way to come to power with strength, if he survives the onslaught of First pincer. AAP was to spearhead the second pincer on him. AAP may not realise it but it exists to create political instability in India by preventing Indian voters from giving a decisive mandate to one party.
>
> It is a very well considered strategy and it would definitely have its impact on the General elections in 2014. Unfortunately, its cascading effect would be on Indian defence and security, too. It might endanger Indian existence, as was suggested by a Chinese journal, "Global Times" in 2009 to break up India into 20-30 states. I have no doubts that ensuring the malfunctioning of Indian democracy was the sole purpose of creation of AAP and the rise of Arvind Kejriwal.

ANARCHY Vs CORRUPTION---REMEDY WORST THAN DISEASE

REMEDY WORST THAN DISEASE!

Men become monsters, when self - righteousness over powers them. Once in a while, we all indulge in asserting our judiciousness. But if we persist being self righteous, then, we transform into demons. Self-righteousness of political leaders and their supporters does not auger well for the Indian polity. One might not question the righteousness of the cause AAP stands for, but certainly the righteousness of the methods chosen to undo the wrong in the polity and the society, do send a message that remedy was worst than the disease.

The ruckus that took place in Delhi over a non-issue on January 21-22 gave an impression of " Hitler like philosophy", fully drenched in self -righteousness. The issue made out was on the self righteous demand for the suspension of some Police officials, who did not respond to illegal commands of a Law Minister of Delhi. Do I take it that philosophy of this new political outfit and its supporters was that police officials were meant to obey wrong and illegal orders of politicians? Is this why Delhi governments, now or before it, have been clamoring for getting police under their thumb?

Frankly speaking the demand for placing of Delhi under Delhi government was misplaced. I say, the very "Statehood of Delhi" was wrong. It should have been a union territory placed under a commissioner or a Lt Governor, as is Pondicherry of Daman & Diu. Its administrative control should have been with the Union government. There can not be two swords in one sheath. It would definitely lead to confrontation. Crazy leaders can always justify their acts on self righteous virtues.

Union Government can not be an appendage of a state (Delhi) government. Therefore Police is rightly placed under the union Home Minister. To say that Law and Order was a state subject is not applicable to State of Delhi. It can not equate itself with other states of the union. In fact Mumbai and Kolkotta had better claims for statehood than Delhi.

Placing of Delhi police under State of Delhi can create a number of administrative and constitutional problems for the federal structure of the nation.Self righteous and a strong headed Chief Minister can make functioning of Union Government difficult. He can order arrest of an inconvenient union minister. He can threaten and dictate to judiciary, as has been done by the present law minister of Delhi.

Self righteousness of nw political outfit in Delhi is visible, when it backed its Law Minister for his illegal and wrong acts but demands suspension of police officials without inquiry yet not prepared to sack its Law Minister on the same premise.

All sort of reasoning is being given that what can a minister do if a police official does not listen to him. FACT IS THE POLICE OFFICIAL IS NOT SUPPOSED TO LISTEN TO A WRONG ORDER, EVEN IF POLICE WAS UNDER THE STATE. Unfortunately, this is what has gone wrong with the polity, where Police has become a mere personal fiefdom of political masters. Those who support such moves should NOT blame Police but themselves for making police the doormat of politicians by supporting such moves.

I am of the view that in view of rising problem of INTERNAL SECURITY and WOM (War By Other Means) Police be made an ALL INDIA SERVICE, under the union government. Else switch over to a different model of political system, where the role of STATES is reduced to barest minimum. More POWERS are placed in the hands of LOCAL SELF GOVERNMENT at District and Block levels.

I suggest a new model of Political system, where "CENTRE" should have just Six -Seven subjects; States or Provinces should deal with only three subjects and rest all subjects be placed under LOCAL SELF GOVERNMENT at district and Block level. Let there be direct relation between Centre and local Self Government. Pimping Interference by mediators at State level must be banished from our political system.

I suggest empowerment of Local Self Government, at the District and Block levels. I recommend that devolution of power should aim at :

(a) Centre : Handle only seven subjects i.e.1. Defence & security, including internal security and Nuclear defence; 2. Media & Electronic Communications ; 3.Law-making for the Union, including elections for the Centre, state and District councils; 4.Foreign Affairs; 5. Research & Development including Space research 6. Currency.7. Rail Transportation.

(b) States: Handle only three subjects i.e.1. Law Making for the state; 2. Surface, both road and water alongwith air transportation and Infrastructure; 3.Excise and Taxation including Land records.

(c) District Councils : All other subjects from local law and order problems to formulation of local laws as approved by state legislature councils. This would include, industry, local taxation, surface communications, education, jails, agriculture, urban & town planning and so like.

I want the posts of GOVERNORS of States to be revitalized and empowered, too. . They should NOT be politicians but emminent persons from various other fields. I want President of India to be empowered, too. At the moment, both governors and President are toothless tigers, mere puppets in the hands of politicians. They must be rid of politicians. In fact political connection should be a disqualification for these posts. I also want the right to recall of a MP, MLA , District Council member and Panch to become instituted into electoral reforms?

India has some 610 districts. Each district must send two representatives to Parliament----- first winner to Lok Sabha and Second Winner to RajySabha. The party with combined strength in Parliament should form the Federal Government. Besides, we should have 610 local self governments, along with CENTRALLY MANAGED UNITS (CMUs) of Some important cities, such as Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkotta, Bengluru, Chandigarh and so on.

India needs to move away from a political system selected some 67 years back. It has not failed but outlived its utility in a different socio- economic moralities of its people. It needs to be modified according to the needs of the time. The makers of the constitution could not envision such scenarios. And I personally feel we need to have a direct democracy where people participate directly.the role of middle level brokers need to be cut. Local Self Government empowerment is a step towards this.

IS 'AAP' REALLY INFALLIBLE?

My NEW YEAR resolution was TO KNOW MYSELF and refresh my self on my visible shortcomings. I analyzed myself over the years and came to a conclusion that I WAS OVERLY CRITICAL of people and issues I am NOT endeared to.

This kind of attitude reflects a tinge of SELF RIGHTEOUSNESS, which in my own philosophy is a terribly wrong thing to possess. ...And I am always guided by what British thinker and philosopher, BERTRAND RUSSELL, had to say when asked by his student if he (Russell) would like to die for the principle he had held so dear to his heart? Bertrand thought for a while and then said, "No". Student asked "Why"? Russell responded, " For, all I know, I might be wrong" . That is it. So, I tell myself that all my pronouncements and critical views on AAP might be wrong, therefore, do not bet on them.

But, then, I am reminded of a French Philosopher, Francois de Roche, who observed: WE PROMISE ACCORDING TO OUR HOPES; WE PERFORM ACCORDING TO OUR FEARS. What do you make out of this? I have my fears---- as does AAP. I tell you what------ AAP promised MOON to the people before Elections and now after the elections, it is acting with FEAR. AM I wrong? You might say "Yes" Do so. But I have something else to say.

Before elections, AAP leadership was promising everything without realizing that it might have to deliver one day. Even AAP did not realize the effect of its promises of ridding the common man of the side effects of all pervasive corruption in this country. Of course, courtesy, their partner in Power now in Delhi. So, it has dished out two Cheap gimmicks of 50% subsidy on power bill up to 400 units and 700 liters of daily water to every METERED HOME in Delhi.

How many houses are metered for water in the slums of Delhi? Well! As per information, only 5 Lakh houses might be having water meters. However, AAM ADMI should not know it? Where is the subsidy of Rs 200 Crores every month going? Well! AAM AADMI is NOT supposed to know. But it is going to TATA Power and RELIANCE POWER (Rs 60 crores+140 Crores respectively). Secrecy and misleading information about governmental and administrative decisions is the key feature of Indian political leadership. The Indian political leadership, however of all hue and cry, fails to realise that TRANSPARENCY was the buzz word of the success of modern leadership.

But to "govern by gimmick's seems to be the "mantra" of new political kid on the blocks. This is the new POLITICS of Arvind Kejriwal, the NEW MESSIAH of COMMON MAN ----- who makes no bones about teaching this brand of politics to others also. You would obviously say, " What's wrong"? My overly critical brain does not agree with you. Because this man has delivered nothing. It is all a media hyped announcements.

Ask yourself, "Has water started pouring into 22 Lakh non metered houses?" Just walk out of your AC rooms into some slum. Where would the subsidy of Rs 200 Crores to be paid every month to Power companies come from? You have no idea? Well! You are a good AAM ADMI!! To be deliberately UNAWARE is your special characteristic !!! If you ask me, where would it come from? I would unhesitatingly say, " Of course, from people of Delhi?" The AAM AADMI of Delhi would pay for it, directly or indirectly. This joy is only short lived. Let the reality hit them in the face, after KHICHDI government comes in power at the Centre, with the help of AAP, who would join hands with SP or BSP or even DMK or many other DYNASTIC POLITICAL OUTFITS, now hogging limelight on the Indian political space. But Arvind Kejriwal Knows he would have achieved what he was supposed to have been indented to achieve i.e. install a WEAK KHICHDI GOVERNMENT at the Centre. And if it does not happen, then there is CENTRAL GOVERNMENT to be blamed for not giving an economic package.

Remember the year 1991, when MMS had to mortgage all the gold of the country to a London Bank. It was the result of such cheap economics gimmicks of populism or what I call SOCIALISM TRASH, in the decade preceding the year 1991, marked by turbulence and JANTA DAL rise that led to the economics fiasco. Is AAP going to be another JANTA DAL or their previous avatar JANTA PARTY? I wonder if there is any difference in the meaning of AAM ADMI and JANTA?

My worry is NOT these cheap gimmicks. My worry is the media hyped attention to AAP----- which is coming like a TSUNAMI. And when Tsunami comes it uproots everything. This TSUNAMI is not from within but engineered from outside. Foreign powers, who do not want to see a strong central government in India, are heavily investing in this ANTI CORRUPTION FACADE of AAP.

ARVIND KEJRIWAL, the mascot of new politics in India and alleged MESSIAH of common man has been cleverly projected to bring this AAP Tsunami. The USP of this man, now, assumingly donning the skin of mythological God, KALGIDHAR, of Indian mythology, has been anti corruption sentiments of the people. This has been systematically and cleverly exploited----- first, he was given Ramon Magsaysay award in 2006 for something which no one in India knows. Then, he was appended to ANNA HAZARE and slowly projected as his main advisor. Once, he was a house hold name, he was pulled out with a well selected team from Media persons---- who became his PUBLICITY AGENTS. and they jumped into electoral foray in Delhi with all sorts of promises and now surprised by their own victory doing everything to gain cheap popularity and against the tenets of good governance and good economics. They are riding high on the CRUTCHES OF SOCIALIST POLPULISM------ which ought to collapse one day. It will definitely fall. Remember, it is the fallibility of infallible that often causes discomfort.

Well! This fallibility of the "infallible" is certain---not even an iota of doubt. However, its fall would have damaged India in an irreparable manner. People with good intentions, who are fed up with ten years of corruption and non - governance, are making a beeline to join this political road roller called AAP -----storm is picking up on MEDIA,s sudden love for it and AAP TSUNAMI is gathering mass----- soon it would engulf whole of India. But when it subsides, India would be in ruins. AM I RIGHT? This is my gut feelings. You never know, I might be wrong. What says thou?

A GLANCE AT PAST AND A PEEP INTO FUTURE---03 January 1967 to 03 January 2067 !

03 JANUARY 1967------03 JANUARY 2014------03 JANUARY 2067

Some dates you never forget------they etch on your memory because they were the turning points in your life.

This day, 47 years back, on January 03, 1967 to be precise, I had joined National Defence Academy at Khadakvasla, Pune, Maharashtra . I was a young man of 17 years with lot of dreams of the future which was yet to unf...old itself. This was sure a turning point in my life. Hereafter I was to don olive green till I came out of it in September 2003.

How has the journey been, you might ask? It has been of agony and ecstasy. Agony, because a number of sad things took place----- I lost my near and dear ones; environments I grew up to be 17 years old have disappeared; nothing , just nothing has remained the same, so much so even my physical profile has undergone a change. This does agonize me. I yearn to be amongst the same people and same environs. I say to hell with all this modern gadgetry, communications and awareness level.

Increase of Knowledge and information have separated everyone from every one. More knowledge and education have made us merely aware of our animal instincts and nothing else. They have individualized us because everyone now yearns for SELF IDENTITY.

We have become a human jungle. Thus, the laws of the Jungle have become applicable to our existence. Darwinian concept of SURVIVAL OF FITTEST holds good not only in the physical structure of the mammals but it also incorporates economic and community strength. The family, community and the national interests have been dwarfed by desire to seek SELF ADVANCEMENT at whatever cost. Social relations have fallen apart. Everyone is on his own. Social institutions are becoming almost defunct. Definitions of family have changed.

In June 1967, during a term break from NDA, when I went back to my village, BALACHAUR, I had an outing in a different house for every meal of my 15 days stay. There was so much love and affection----- there was great sense of belonging----- you touched every elder's feet and got the blessing.

In January 2014, hardly any person in my own street in BALACHAUR knows me. What to say of my village, even the place, I have been living for the past 11 years, people in my block (15 houses) do not know me, though I might be the President of the society of 332 houses. We are strangers in a human zoo.

No, no!! You got me wrong. I am NOT looking for recognition, nor I am lamenting about the present state of affairs. I am only drawing the differences between THEN and NOW. It is up to you to decide as to what was good for your social living. It is for you to know what brings in the SOCIAL HARMONY. it is for you to evaluate what creates MUTUAL BONDS. It is for you to learn how Love begets love and respect begets respect.

It is a UNIVERSAL PRINCIPLE that unless we care for others; they won't care for us. Why are there rising cases of Corruption and violence? Have you ever wondered? It is because everyone is on his own. There is lawlessness and disorder in our social, political and individual lives.

Why is this lawlessness? My take is : TO GAIN SOMETHING, ONE HAS TO LOSE SOMETHING. The principle of ZERO SUM EQUILIBRIUM is as applicable to our social and political life today, as it was applicable in the days begone. We have to sacrifice some of our freedom and liberty to feel safe and secure. We can promote FREE FOR ALL environments only at peril to our own existence.

Society and the polity needs to be disciplined. Fear of authority , which has disappeared because of individualisation of society and the polity in its variant forms, has to be re- established. Regionalism, Castism and religious manifestations are the social and political variants of "Individualism", I have been talking about.

Having said all this, I must now take a look at the GLOBALISING WORLD. George Friedman has called it a FLAT WORLD. Alvin Toffler, in his treatise on social transformation had stated in POWER SHIFT that world shall split up into 5000 states and concept of Nation State would disappear. Instead, we would have some 5000 inter connected but interdependent ECONOMIC NODES flourishing in the world, somewhere around the advent of 22nd Century. Simple,in your computer language , they would all be MICRO DOTS ON A BIG COMPUTER CHIP called the Globe.

What is likely to happen , then? Why am I harping about the glory of the past, which is not retrievable? I say I was only tracing the path of human journey from a MASSIFIED SOCIAL SYSTEM to interconnected DEMASSIFIED SOCIAL SYSTEM. Most of my life I had lived in that era ---- so, I liked it.

What seems strange to me, might not be the same to Gen "X" and Gen "Y". They would grow up in the new social system, which is perhaps would endear them. But they might feel the same way, some FIVE DECADES LATER, as I do now. Because the journey of the humans continues forward.

Alvin Toffler had defined this journey of humans into THREE waves----- First wave of Agriculture; Second Wave of industrialization and Third wave of Information Age , which started somewhere around 1950s. He has defined them as periods of shifting emphasis of POWER. George Friedman, in a some what oblique manner, has defined them as FOUR STAGES of GLOBALISATION. He laid emphasis on the economic factor leading to FLATTENING OF THE WORLD and thus, man becoming a CONTINENT HOPPING MAN. Globe becomes a real village. And it is happening. SILLICON REVOLUTION has reduced the geographical distances. Well, this revolution might be SILLY and CONING, too. So, remain mentally alert to ward off its adverse effects.

Today, one can chat , face to face on Skype or hosts of other such sites, with your family members, friends and acquaintances. This is the impact of globalization. So, what has happened while the physical distances have narrowed down, the social and political distances have been increasing. We are living in our own cocoons. Welcome to the VIRTUAL WORLD, where you can live in total anonymity and yet be known all over the world.

This is the biggest paradox of human development in the last 50 years, I have talked about. While on one hand, he broke away from a joint family to create one's Self identity; on the other, he is deliberately effacing his identity in the Virtual world. There you are, then: In the REAL WORLD IDENTITY IS REAL, ACTIONS MIGHT BE UNREAL; AT THE SAME TIME, THE IDENTITY IN THE UNREAL WORLD MAY BE UNREAL BUT ACTIONS ARE LIKELY TO BE REAL, FROM THE CORE OF THE HEART.

" What is the paradox" , you would say? Simple, it is the crisis of growing "self confidence" but "distrust" in the things around you. It is a growing sense of materialistic insecurity that is driving man away from his environments. WHILE SELF RECOGNITION IS THE DESIRE OF EVERY HUMAN BEING BUT AT THE SAME TIMEBUT KNOWLEDGE AND FEAR MAKES HIM HIDE HIS IDENTITY. He lives in two worlds of "REAL" and "UNREAL".

Do you get me? OK, I shall explain it thus: People in my childhood were real both in acts and identity, it is not so in the world of today's i.e. IF A PERSON IS " REAL" HIS CONDUCT IS UNREAL; IF A PERSON IS "UNREAL" HIS ACTS MIGHT BE REAL.

"Where would we go from here", is the natural question on every lip? I would say from Alvin Toffler's transforming man from Agricultural to Industrial to Information, I would now add the FOURTH WAVE of COSMIC MAN------ we shall leap from CONTINENT HOPPING MAN or a GLOBALISED MAN to GALAXY HOPPING MAN or the COSMIC MAN, with their own values and social norms.

Therefore, my advice to Gen "X" and Gen "Y" is to get up and join the COSMIC BAND WAGON. My parting philosophy : WHAT WAS YESTERDAY IS NOT TODAY; WHAT IS TODAY WOULD DEFINITELY NOT BE THERE TOMORROW. Learn to live with the ARROW OF TIME. Like ever before, it continues to pierce into the abdomen of the unknown but well anticipated future.

May be the COSMIC MAN of tomorrow would be produced in the HUMAN FACTORIES, where human relations won't have any values. As it is the institution of marriage was now moving towards its extinction------the advent of "Stem cell technology" has reduced the need for a Man - Woman copulation for reproduction.

Stem cells might be made available in the market as VICKY DONORS have come to stay. Social and family relations and designation shall march into the dustbin of human history. Live- in partnership, single parent and "specific period marriages" are going to obliterate the designations of " Father" , " Brother", " Sister" and so on.

Hullo! What I have stated in the foregoing paragraph above, is going to be your journey over the next 50 years. Your leap into COSMIC AGE would throw you into isolation and solitude. So, learn to live alone.-----Here is to the COSMIC MAN of the future :----

LIVE YOUR LIFE, WITHOUT A WIFE;
LIVE IN A COCOON, SELF-GROOMED;
HAVE NO IDENTITY,IN YOUR ENTITY;
FACTORY BORN, LIVE LIKE A MORON.

WELCOME TO JANUARY 2067! CHHERS!! What drink do you have? I started with RUM, then graduated to whisky and now addicted to Indian made Scotch-----B/L or Black Dog. And now body says : CHHOD DE 'SAALE', FOR YOUR OWN GOOD HEALTH!!
