AN ODE TO MY TWO GRAND-DAUGHTERS!

A strange query in my heart drums;

As and when the year 2030 comes----

When, probably, I might not be around;

Who would wear Miss World Crown?

Would it be my sweet little Anaisha?

Or it would be my darling Anushka?

Both of you have the potential to win---

For, morning shows shadow of the sun.

The game should start with 'spelling-bee'--

In the year 2020, a stiff race it's going to be;

Both of you, ought to make it to the final---

Calm and composed would win the title.

A decade would precede the 'glamor- show',

Ten years would polish you, as you grow;

Both shall develop as blooming rose-buds---

The whole world your fragnance would flood.

Remember, as you enter such competitions--

Wining is second to a healthy participation;

Moral uprightness must be your guide-----

As you attain fame and glory, side by side.

As grandfather, I see both of you as winners,

Not a desire but a prophecy of a well-wisher!

May you both extol the name of your parents!

May 'formula of success in life' be your patent.
