Lament O' India ! Know, where you are heading?
Led by corrupt leaders who are together bedding;
Unchecked, we shall soon become a lost civilization------
For, our leaders are only crocodile tears shedding!
Honesty and integrity are the values of the past,
Now everyone wants to make money very fast;
Corruption is rampant because common man is so----
Hypocrisy and greed, over him, have their shadows cast.
Indian media, today, is controlled by political masters,
Motivated stories are dished out by their News casters;
True lies have become synonymous with their profession------
They oggle hate and venom even during natural disasters.
Less said of Indian legal system, it is better for posterity,
Government, often, manipulates judiciary with dexterity,
Even highest court in the land toes the corrupt rulers line,
Ignoring popular sentiments, it gets blinded by legality.
"Rajee" 'Jasmine winds' ought to blow in this country,
India, today, needs real action not words so sedentary ;
Silent majority, if you do not heed this call of the times--------
Violence and chaos would be served from social pantry.
