MISCHIEVOUS MEDIA WITH MISCHIEVOUS NEWS ITEMS!

MISCHIEVOUS  MEDIA WITH MISCHIEVOUS NEWS ITEMS!

AR Rehman, noted Indian Music Director and Oscar Award winner, when asked by media men on Amir Khan's recent statement,  referred to an incident when he was issued a fatwa by a Muslim organization some months back . But Indian media, particularly Times Of India and NDTV, have linked it with Amir Khan's statement to make it look as if RELIGIOUS INTOLERANCE is because of Hindus / RSS/ VHP/ or BJP.

There is a definite intent of the media to mislead the people by giving such head lines. Unfortunately, highly educated Indians are also being misled by such headlines without knowing the full contents. One of my friends, a retired Army officer, fell prey to this and remarked , " Look at what RSS was doing? " I had to clarify to him that it was NOT RSS  but a MUSLIM organization called Raza Academy of Pune, who had issued Fatwa to Rehman. Read the headlines on TIMES OF INDIA :-----

" AR REHMAN IDENTIFIES WITH AMIR KHAN AND FEELS WITH HIM, SAYS HE WAS IN THE SIMILAR SITUATION"

It may be recollected that AR Rahman was referring to Mumbai-based Raza Academy's fatwa against him after he composed the music for Iranian film 'Muhammad: Messenger of God', which alleged that the title was humiliating to the Prophet. At that time, chief ministers of Delhi and UP had cancelled Rahman's concerts at the last minute. What a show of  religious tolerance by Arvind Kejriwal and Mulayam Singh Yadav! Not a whimper of a noise by anyone in the country. I think Javed Akhtar and Mahesh Bhat were holidaying some where and SRK was busy shooting his movies. Surprisingly, none of the award returning celebrities spoke about it, then.  No one heard Rahul Gandhi talking about it; nor that LIES BRIGADE of the Congress party.

Dadri incident happened in the state of Uttar Pradesh and whole blame is palmed off to RSS. I am no supporter of RSS or these so called Hindu organizations but I am suspicious of Congress, who can play any mischief to come back to power. Dadri incident could well be an exploitation  by Vested interests, whether Congress or others of a 'Beef row' by some Hindu Organisations--- not necessarily, they were involved.

As for as the issue of NOT allowing Pakistani Singers in Mumbai by Shiv Sena , it has nothing to do with Religion. It only showed opposition to Pakistan,  who is at war with India through its band of " Irregular Soldiers", called " Strategic Assets". How is it the rise of Religious intolerance? But media is making it look like a religious intolerance. It mixes Freedom of Speech with religious intolerance. It stinks of some mischief.

Freedom of  speech is a two way traffic. It can not be one way movement. Well! If you have the rights to allow a Pakistani to release his book in India, others have the rights to oppose him. Media can not have the cake and eat it, too. It is gross violation of VOLTAIREAN PRINCIPLE of Freedom of Speech, who is alleged to have said something like this:  I disapprove of what you say but I will support you to my death in allowing you to say what you want to say.

While I appreciate debate on religious intolerance, it must not be one sided blame game. This is what I infer from the present debate. I have no doubts, it has been orchestrated by mischievous Congress and Media is playing the role of its foot soldiers. No doubts, Congress has been helped by BJP's arrogant mouthpieces, who have no idea of how they were falling prey to Congress scheme of things. Shortsightedness of persons like Shaksi Maharajs and Yogi Adityanaths are providing ammunition to Congress shooters. This is a very dangerous game. Congress is playing very dirty games.

Look at the allegations against Congress recently made to President of India in a memorandum by Sukhbir Badal, Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab . But media is dismissing it as Assmbly Elections tantrum of Akalis. Those, who live in Punjab, they know what is going on. "Bajwa- Arvinder " rivalry of present day Congress in Punjab is reminiscent of "Zail Singh - Darbara Singh" rivalry of the 70s of last decade, which led to the rise of Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale. A similar situation is being created by stooges of Rahul Gandhi and Media is dismissing it as an election stunt.

Every Punjabi knows that recently held Sarbat Khalsa meeting of the Sikhs at Bhatinda was articulated by Congress. Some nasti and anti national resolutions were passed in the presence of Congress leaders of the state. Surprisingly, blind Indian Media took no notice of such a Congress presence in the meeting. The shortsightedness of selfish media could prove detrimental to India's nationhood. In the days of Competitive politics , Akalis might also adopt similar methods and the peace in Punjab would be disturbed. It has happened in the past and it can happen now.

I therefore ore dismiss this entire debate on religious intolerance as manipulated and orchestrated by power hungrry congress and indian media is a willing or unwitting partner to a war against Indian nationhood. If the debate has to take place then, it must be all inclusive, not merely statements by Congress stooges. Return of awards is a drama by those people who were awarded these awards by congress regime and they are now returning the favour------- in the hope of bigger awards, if Congress returns to power. Who does not know where do lie the sympathies of SRK and Amir Khan? Warning to Media is: If Punjab goes back to the dark days of 80s and 90s of the last Century and India faces a second partition, then, Indian media would have to share the blame along with congress and its stooges. Excess of freedom and liberty is as bad as excess of Central control and discipline.

WISH LIST VIS- A- VIS DISHLIST- PHILOSOPHY OF HAPPINESS!

"WISH LIST" VERSUS "DISH LIST": PHILOSOPHY OF HAPPINESS!

Each one of us has a "Wish List" in life. This is primarily the ramifications of our ambitions in life. Such a  manifestation of desires of a human being stem from a need for advancement and achievements in life. Not necessarily, all would be achieved There are always hits and misses. What we actually get in life makes our "Dish List". In other words, going to a restaurant and ordering a meal. What you have on the "Plate" and what you have in the "Menu", would differentiate the two lists.

Wishes are achieved NOT by dreaming and merely desiring but working for them. The fulfillment of wishes leads to happiness and satisfaction. Non fulfillment leads to disappointment and dissatisfaction. When dissatisfaction overrides satisfaction , it causes frustration of human mind. This is where the tale of 'Spider and King Bruce' becomes very very inspiring. In fact, 'failure' is the first stepping stone to grand success.

Francoise D Roche, a French philosopher and author had once said, "we promise according to our hopes but perform according to our fears". How true is this? The battle is always between our hopes and fears. Therefore most often one fails because one was overpowered by self generated fears. Fear leads to caution and caution curtails one's risk taking ability. And remember, nothing can be achieved without some amount of risk in your decision making.

" Wish list" and " Dish list" are the same for those who relentlessly remain focussed on their objectives and spare no efforts in achieving them. Fulfillment of Wish list is directly proportional to the efforts put in. Self- doubts; half- hearted efforts and lack of preparation are the causes which reduce the contents of your " Dish List". No wish is easy to come. Try, try again. On the heap of failed efforts, lies the plateau of success. A modern adage is : Quitters never win; winners never quit.

In the above context, we ought to narrate to ourselves, time and again, the fable of a THIRSTY CROW with a morale which says: Where there is a will, there is a way. Satisfaction of thirst leads to happiness. Thirst can be physical need or a mental desire. Both add to our wish list. It is their satisfaction which leads to happiness. We must understand the equation for Happiness is : Wish List ( WL) minus Dish List ( DL) is equal to Zero Or to put it arithmetically, it is: WL -DL = 0.

In other words, if the gap between the two is more, it increases unhappiness. Thus the degree of happiness/ unhappiness is directly proportional to the size of the gap between Wish List and Dish List. Less gap, more happiness; more gap , less happiness. The corollary to this rule is that in order to be happy, number of wishes / desire be curtailed so as to reduce the gap in the wish list and Dish list.

Wish list can be progressive. To fill up your bowl initially, right at the beginning, it is to cause indigestion and constipation. In life, one must move from bound to bound; achievement to achievement in a progressive manner. Do not congest your bowl of wishes at any stage. Our hopes must match our fears so as to ensure our promises and performances are pegged at keel with each other.

CONGRESS AND ITS DIRTY TRICKS DEPARTMENT!

CONGRESS AND ITS DIRTY TRICKS: SIDING WITH RADICALS !

Sukhbir  Badal, deputy chief Minister of Punjab has alleged in a memorandum to the President of India on 22 November 2015 that  Congress has links with the Khalistani organizations and using them to disturb peace and harmony in the state of Punjab. It is a very serious allegation and it can not be made without some evidence with the Punjab government. It must not be dismissed lightly. Indian media must go into details and find out the truth. Merely giving Congress rejoinder is not enough.  Knowing Congress past history allegation can not be easily discounted.

It may be recollected that some two months back Torn pages ( called "BIRS" ) of Guru Granth Sahib ( Holy book of Sikhs) were thrown around in Moga and four other cities of Punjab. it aroused the communal passions and many Sikh organizations were enraged. Investigations by Punjab Government gave indications that a conspiracy was hacked up in Australia and Dubai by some NRI Sikhs, who had links with ISI of Pakistan.

It is suspected that some of these NRI Sikhs have close ties with some Congress leaders, who wants to disturb peace in Punjab by hurting Religious sentiments. The aim of congress is alleged to be to create communal tension in the state so as to make some political gains for the forthcoming Assembly elections in Punjab in the year 2017. If so, it is a very dangerous and malicious intent with serious repercussions for the security and integrity of the nation.

Punjab has just begun to recover from the horrendous days of militancy seen in the two decades of 80s and 90s of the last Century. Pakistan is desperately trying to revive the hey days of militancy in Punjab. The fires of those  militancy days have yet not been fully doused; flames are still simmering. It must be noted unless there was some internal combustion, outside agents can not do much. Willingly or unwittingly, if Congress has chosen to fuel this fire , then, it ought to be checked now.

Who does not know the causes of the start of earlier militancy in Punjab? Even a new born child in Punjab would tell you that it was the outcome of political rivalry between two tall Congress leaders i.e.  Giani Zail Singh and Darbara Singh, which sparked it. Later, Zail Singh created Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale to counter Akali hold on rural peasantry.

Giani Zail Singh being the right hand man of Indra Gandhi, it won't be a surprise , if she had consented to Zail Singh to use of JS. Bhindrawale. His rise gave a fillip to militancy in Punjab and he became a larger than life image, bigger than his own creator. His rise was exploited by Pakistan. It was the short sightedness of congress which led to two decades of blood shed in Punjab. It seems Congress has NOT learnt a lesson from this folly of her.

The gory days of that period have left many a scars on the nation's psyche. Use of force in the Golden Temple to flush out Bhindrawale; killing of Indra Gandhi; Anti-Sikh riots of 1984 and martyrdom of Sh. Beant Singh in 1994 are some of the painful milestones of those dark days. Is Rahul Gandhi trying to foist those days on Punjab?  Whatever explanations/ clarifications Captain Amrender, Congress leader in Punjab, might give but he can not deny that JS Bhindrawale was Congress creation.

After the Golden Temple fiasco, even Captain Amrender Singh had left Congress and joined Akali Dal. He was hurt, too. Who would know Punjab's halcyon days history better than him. His defence of Rahul Gandhi is unconvincing. People of Punjab know that Congress always has handful dirty tricks up its sleeves. It has kept the nation divided over caste, creed, region, religion and lingual issues.

It created the myth of 'Majority and Minority' to create its captive vote Bank. It's shadowy secularism has kept the so called minorities staying away from main stream. The interests of its power brokers in these communities lay in keeping them illiterate and poor. This ensures their vote bank intact. Special privileges have been bestowed upon castes and regions in the form of reservations and special protection of hill states. These provisions in the constitution have led  to islands of conflicts within the nation. It is time sensible leaders like Captain Amrender Singh do some soul searching and leave this dangerous path.

Sukhbir Badal has given the memorandum to President Parnab Mukherjee, once a tallest and well informed leader of Congress. He very well knows the inside story of Punjab Militancy. He must be deeply worried because he knows the Congress very well. He ought to advice Sonia and Rahul Gandhi to stop such venturing for short term political gains.

We must understand that it was the competitive politics of Congress and Akalis  that Punjab had witnessed, which accounted for both using extremists to counter each other. Same competitiveness might compel present day Akali leadership to do the same. When two monkeys fight, an outside cat will certainly take adbvantage. Definitely, ISI of Pakistan is waiting for this game to begin. Nation and it's president can not ignore the allegations made by Sukhbir Badal. Past history of Congress substantiates them. If this time, Punjab goes back to those days, it would be catastrophic for the whole nation. Wake up India, listen to Sukhbir Badal, now. Do not blame Akalis later.

NITISH KUMAR AS PM, WHAT RUBBISH , FAROOK ABDULLA

NITISH KUMAR AS A PRIME MINISTER: WHAT A RUBBISH Mr. FAROOK ABDULLA?

Farook Abdulla has said that Nitish Kumar should prepare to be the Prime Minister of India. I think Farook was out of his mind. He should know that it was Lallu who was calling the shots in Bihar and NOT Nitish Kumar. The elevation of his two sons in second and 3rd position in the cabinet is a clear indication that Nitish would be forced to play Lallu's game or he would break the coalition. Nitish is a mere puppet in the hands of Lallu.

My Observation on Bihar is: while Nitish is a lame duck CM; It was Lallu who was the Super CM. Nitish would have no option but to dance to the tunes of Lallu Parsad Yadav, who nourishes his own ambition to become the Prime Minister of India. And his first major task would be to manipulate the judicial system in Bihar to acquit himself of conviction in the Fodder Scam case.

Bihar election results show that NITISH KUMAR and JDU were the real loser and RJD is the main gainer. JDU tally came down from 115 to 71 in the last assembly--- Lallu went up from 15 to 80. BJP lost 42 seats , JDU lost 44. While BJP vote bank is intact at 34.5 % ; JDU has come down from 37% to 17%. This clearly shows that Nitish was the real loser. And losers in a winning combination has NO say. Nitish would be the charming face of the coalition  with its ugly face inside.

NITISH as PM--- what a rubbish Mr. Farook Abdulla? He is NOT even CM of Bihar, despite that grand swearing in Show! The large gathering of who's who of Indian politics at swearing in ceremony of Nitish Kumar was actually a drama by Nitish and JDU to show to the world that Nitish would be the Ring Master of Bihar Circus of Ruling Junta. It shows , he was himself NOT sure of his own status. He needed the crutches of glittery of Indian politics to convince himself.

I often note that spectacular election results generally blind the political observers. And they begin to write off the losers! Take the JANTA PARTY victory in 1977; CONGRESS Victory in 1984. Why go so far back into time? Look at the recent BJP/ NDA victory in 2014 and AAP victory in Delhi in 2015!
Massive election victories often end up in massivedisappointments. AAP is one such example of this disappointment. All the same , Narender Modi might NOT have delivered on the home front but he has made a niche for India in the International market. His efforts at domestic front have yet to bear fruits. I am not saying that Narender Modi was better than others  but he seems to be visibly showing intentions to deliver.

The politics of others is only to gang up against him. This will prove disastrous for them in 2019. Anti- Modi brigade must realise that focus on Modi would NOT get them a win in 2019 but their performance. They must note that by 2019, some of Modi's efforts would begin to show the results.

By focussing on criticising Modi, the Anti- Modi Brigade of Indian politics, is playing a losing game right from the start. Some of these microdots of Indian politics might not realise that Congress party was using them to regain its lost status in Indian Politics. However it forgets that it can not rejuvenate itself like it did in 1980. It had , then, charismatic leaders like Indra and Sanjay Gandhi. But present leadership has neither the charisma not the qualities --- they only bank upon manipulations and lies. How long Congress can fool Indian masses. Its winning 27 seats in Bihar Elections is a mere flash in the PAN----final flickering by the flame of a lamp before it goes out.

What says you? Have your say!

TOLERANCE, SRK AND YOGI ADITYANATH

TOLERANCE, SHAHRUKH KHAN (SRK) AND YOGI ADITYANATH !

What is tolerance? To me, it seems, 'Restraint and responsibility laced with magnanimity'. In other words, it is one's ability to exercise self control and stay composed when provoked mentally or physically. If one reacts under whatever reasons, it is intolerance. To pontificate others in the name of freedom of expression is no excuse. To be frank , if you are a celebrity or a public figure , this need for restraint and self control increases manifold.

In an age of competitive religions and competitive politics, there is always a game of action and counter action. Responsible public figures must not make statements which will draw ire from other side. Tolerance is all about ignoring pointing barbs by other side which provoke you. Difference of opinion is not intolerance but adding emotions to it is intolerance. When a celebrity or a public figure jumps into a raging controversy, it is an indication that he has lost self control and has been swayed by his emotions.

A Public figure must realise that Indian Media is a double edged weapon. It cuts both ways. It would extract a sound byte from one side and then rush to other by making it more spicy. Thus, it starts a never ending verbal wrestling match. It plays a pimping game in such scenarios. It adds fuel to the fire by bringing in opposing views. Accordingly, a non issue becomes a controversy. SRK and Yogi Adityanath controversy is result of this tell- tale issue.

SRK should have known that any remarks of his on "religious Intolerance" was representation of his own intolerance. May be remark was deliberately made to provoke respondents of "intolerance debate". And he did get a mouthful from the respondents. What does he mean by "growing religious Intolerance"? Taking sides on controversial issues publicly, shows sparks of personal intolerance. Therefore what is the difference between SRK and Yogi Adityanath. If SRK reacted on "Beef eating", So did Yogi Adityanath on his allegation of Religious Intolerance.

We must note that Shiv Sena opposition to Ghulam Ali and Pakistani artists was not because of religion but nationality. How can this be  branded as " Religious Intolerance"? Mumbai swarms with Muslim actors and artists without any opposition by Shiv Sena.  Rightly or wrongly, opposition to Pakistan by certain segments of Indian society was inherent in the Two Nation Theory. The issue is not of really of Intolerance but of fabricated concept of "Hindu Majority" and imported concept of Secularism to fight this fabricated myth of Hindu Majority.

So, the battle lines were drawn right at the birth of this country, when "Two Nation" theory was accepted by Congress, against the wishes of Mahatma Gandhi. At the heart of this problem was exclusion of Muslims from the overall gamut of a modern word "Indian". In other words, the definition of a 'Hindu of Hindustan', should have been at par with the word "Indian" and inclusive of a Muslim, a Sikh, a Budhist etc and not open a can of worm by calling Hinduism a separate religion as Two Nation theory stated. While "Two Nation Theory' incorporated, Sikhs, Budhists, Jains, Parsis, Jews, Jats, Rajputs, Brahmins, Dalits and Kayasths, all, with their different rituals and processes in the lap of Hinduism, it excluded Muslims. This was a faulty thought and out of tune with the stratagem of a multicultural society. This seeded the Intolerance, we see today. This is what should be avoided by guys like Shah Rukh Khan.

Take the case of Professor Kulburgi. Is the freedom of speech meant to slight and berate other man's belief and faith. Going public with it is a heinous crime. It is your intolerance. How do you expect others to be tolerant when you preach urinating over Hindu idols? During a seminar, in June 2014, Kalburgi had denounced idol worship as a “meaningless ritual”, angering Sangh parivar elements. He further added, “One can even urinate on idols”, while quoting from a distinguished Kannada scholar Professor U.R. Ananthamurthy’s work.In the work, the Jnanpith award winning litterateur, Ananthamurthy had narrated how he had pissed on an idol to prove that the idol had no powers and to rid himself of the fear induced by his traditional upbringing.

One is welcome to hold such views in private. But should you go public, you are hurting others. Claiming to urinate on Hindu idols is a bigger sin than publishing prophet Mohammed's Cartoons? It enraged the Muslim's all over, including Shah Rukh Khan. Where was SHARUKH Khan when Salman Rushdie's book was banned or when he was disallowed from Jaipur Literary Festival ?

Where was Shah Rukh Khan when Taslima Nasreen was hounded in Hyderabad and thrown out of the country. This selective approach of Shah Rukh khan was bound to invite counter views of other side. Who does not about this drama being enacted by paid agents of Congress ? And everyone knows where does Shah rukh Khan stand politically. When Shah Rukh khan was supporting such views, he is bound to invite reaction from persons like Yogi Adityanath. It was Shah Rukh Khan's political intolerance , couched in Religious tones, that needs to be questioned. It is not to say that one supports BJP or Modi and to say the least to support yogi Adityanath. No, Never.

HINDU CUSTOM AND FESTIVAL BASHING BY UNCOUTH INDIAN JOURNALISTS , IS IT JUSTIFIED?

HINDU CUSTOM AND FESTIVAL BASHING BY UNCOUTH INDIAN JOURNALISTS , IS IT JUSTIFIED?

It is not really about Karva Chauth but about excessive criticism of Hindu Beliefs and myths by most of the electronic and print media journalists. Have they ever questioned why Muslims keep Rozas for 30 days? Have they ever written why Christian believe that Merry was a virgin? Problem with such so called and self styled intellectuals is to denounce anything everything regarding Hinduism----- to the extent of ridiculing and  slighting it. (There is an article on NDTV news By Manika Aggarwal ridiculing the Karva Chauth Festival-----------this piece is to question such views of Half read Indians-------educated on Western Beliefs)

By the way, I am NOT a Hindu Fanatic;  nor do I believe that Hindu was a religion. Hindu Majority of this country is a myth because it was a conglomeration of religions, temporal sects, castes and communities as is the word INDIAN of Modern India.  Hindu, in ancient times, was actually a GEOGRAPHICAL REPRESENTATION of a culture by ancient Persians, who believed that East of River Indus (Sindhu in Sanskrit) were Hindus.

The name Hindu derives itself from Sindhu , which was pronounced with apostrophe " S" by ancient Persians, so it became Hindu for them. When the word travelled West to Greece and Turkey it became "Indu", "Indie" or "indica", thus came the name India. Even the name Hindustan is a Persian word. HINDU KUSH mountain range became the defining Eastern boundary of this region for the ancient Persians. The word was first described on a Tablet by King Darius -1 of Persia in 518 BC, who claimed to have ruled upto River HINDU ( Sindhu) .(Refer to History Of India by John Keay, British Historian and Indologist).

Therefore, "Hindu" is an ancient representation of the modern word "Indian" . It contained all temporal sects of those days, such as Shaivism, Vaishnavism, Jainism and Budhism. It was only in 530 AD, exactly one thousand years later after its first appearance, that it was given a religious connotation, by King of Kashmir, Gopaladitya , a Hun King and a son of a Hun (Chinese) tyrant Mihir Kula, when he told his Kashmiri Minister to convert to Hinduism. Thus a culture of peaceful coexistence and tolerance philosophy acquired religious connotation. According to John Keay, in his book INTO INDIA, even as late as 19th Century, Sikhism, Budhism and Jainism were considered sub sects of Hinduism. In most part of India, Muslims too, celebrated Hindu festivals such as Diwali and Raksha Bandhan.

It is unfortunate that Colonial Masters divided a composite Cultural along religious and communal lines in pursuit of their " Divide and Rule" policy but this gulf was further widened by Western educated Nehruvian policies and directives. Nehru had no idea of Indian composite culture and his secularism was to ridicule Hinduism by denouncing everything associated with it. He created the myth of NON EXISTENT Hindu Majority and thus pitted everyone against it. The name "Hindustan" should have told him that it was inclusive of all religions, regions, caste and creeds. His Western knowledge and up- bringing divided the nation into MAJORITY and MINORITIES.  He was confused with the words 'culture and religion'. Thus, organizations, such as RSS , Hindu MahaSabha , Arya Samaj etc.picked up the gauntlet and acquired  relevance as divisive forces. Nehru, rather than equating the word "Hindu" with its modern offshoot "Indian",  created the wedge by laying too much emphasis on Western concept of SECULARISM. He did not understand that Word Hindu was the mother of "Indian Secularism".

Nehruvian philosophy had the impact on Indian education policy, whereby generations of Indian grew up thinking Secularism was something separate from Hinduism. It was never so and it is NOT so. The multiplicity of Gods and goddesses and multiple ritual practices are the testimony to its Secular credentials. It is NOT rigid. The beauty of this culture is that it was self assimilating. If you go to Kashmir of Old days, you will find that Kashmiris relished 'Halal' Meat. It is a staple diets of some Kashmiri Pundits even today. It is only politics and Wester education of most Indians that the word Hindu has been deprived of its Secular contents.

In view of the above, my contention is that all the festivals of ancient India were designed with a specific purpose of bonding the family together---- these family rituals then magnified into societal and Community festivals to create the same bonding. It was to generate feeling of oneness and to invoke co- existence and tolerance to make the society harmonious and peaceful. In USA of today, they are creating these kind of Bondings through various days they celebrate. Even all these new concepts of Father's Day , Mothers Day, Friendship Day, Daughter's day have the same logic.

Therefore , while the western world is trying to copy, ancient Indian Philosophy to generate peace and harmony but half read, and half educated journalists of India are ridiculing these customs and traditions. It is NOT their fault because Indian education system , founded by Nehru and perpetuated by Congress have created these modern myths. They need to be demolished and Secularism of Hindu philosophy of peaceful coexistence and tolerance has to be genuinely promulgated in India.

TOLERANCE AND INTOLERANCE !

Kshama badan ko chahiye, chhotan ko utpaat,
Ka "Vishnu" Ka ghat gayo, "Bhrigu" Jo maari laat |
(Let Elders give pardon and let Youngsters commit sin,
No harm was done to "Vishnu" when "Bhrigu" kicked Him.)
"Elders" does not only mean age but it also implies thoughts, knowledge and learning. It includes men of vision and philosophy. Who do you attribute this verse to? English Media, half -read honchos, kindly pardon me because it would fly over your heads like supersonic F-16 jets. But if some of you have read Hindi Literature, then most of you would jump up and say, "Kabir". Yes, you are right. But who was Kabir? Well! Kabir was a Muslim , belonging to "Weavers" community. What was he, a Muslim, saying by quoting from so called "Hindu" scriptures? Definitely, he was giving us an important lesson in "tolerance". Please note that he existed almost 500 years back during the medieval period of Indian History.
To practice tolerance is to be "magnanimous", big hearted person! This is what Kabir had spelt out. You have to accept the sins and wrong- doings of those who are narrow minded and lack the ability to think on the broader prospects of society. Magnanimity is to end conflict and confrontation by showing a big pardoning heart and not to widen its scope by making it look unpardonable. When one questions the sin of others, you become unforgiving and intolerant. If you do so, you have committed the same sin. Swami Dayananad Saraswati had preached that hate not the sinner but the sin. By being big hearted person, you make the sinner feel small. In so doing , you attack the sin. My question to all these actors, writers, poets and intellectuals returning awards on account of intolerance shown by a handful few towards Pakistani singers/ Authors or beef eaters is : Aren't you showing smallness of your mind by being intolerant towards a handful few? Definitely, you are. In fact, you are dividing the society by your narrow mindedness and impulsive act. It seems your opposition is politically orchestrated rather than being genuine.
If it was genuine, then you should start a nation wide movement against this and convince people, why they should accept Pakistani singers/ authors/ actors even if Pakistan was committing gory acts on the borders. You have to convince the Indian masses and NOT a political party. But you have done is to attack a political ideology rather than the sin which needed to be addressed. You have to make the society understand that eating beef was permitted in a religion, so it was not to be questioned. You have to explain by giving examples such as that Kashmiri pundits still relish Halal meat. Please inform the North India's, so called "Hindu society", that in Karnataka and certain other parts of South India, marriage amongst cousins was NOT a taboo. It was NOT an exclusive Muslim practice alone.
Tragedy is 40% Indians are illiterate and 70 % do not know the culture and traditions of people living in regions 100 Kms away. This is being exploited by nasty politicians over the last 68 years. In south India, such a barrier has been created over language by politicians that speaking in Hindi was a sin. It is considered imposition of North Indian Culture but speaking in English is relished as if it was a home made "Masala Dosa".
Religious intolerance to political intolerance is because of successive congress led governments of India to create caste, creed and religious barriers in the society to raise its vote bank. It treated word HINDU as a religious commodity and packaged it as such to further divide the society into Majority and Minority. India's first Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru , educated in western philosophy and thoughts created this myth when he talked of Secularism of the West. He did not understand that the word HINDU was more secular than Western Secularism. He did not understand if Indians live in India; it is the same thing to say that Hindus lived in Hindustan. This would have demolished all notions of Majority and Minorities.
Hindu Majority is a definite Myth in India. All castes, sub castes, temporal sects have been grouped under this but who have their own Gods and temporal rituals. There are God men who follow their own procedures and processes. Each god man has his own cult and devotees, whether it was Guru Ma, Radhe Ma, Sudhanshu Maharaj or Rajinder Singh JI of Vyas or Nirankaris and many more such sects. They follow their own rituals and religious practices. They are all self containing temporal sects such as Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists, Parsis, Jews and Muslims of India. If they were Indians of India , they were also Hindus of Hindustan. Nehru's Western education did not accept this and he created this fictitious Hindu Majority by accepting such organizations as Arya Maha Sabha, who preached this non existing majority. Thereafter organizations like Rashtriya Sayam Sangh(RSS), Vishv Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal sprang up to give reality to such a non existing majority. Sixty eight years of this practice has fully divided the society, which the so called Intellectuals of today, are trying to further widen the chasm by harping about "Hindu Intolerance".
Shiv Sena is a minuscule organization, centered in Maharashtra, amongst a population of 1250 millions Indians.
