CONGRESS AND ITS DIRTY TRICKS DEPARTMENT!

CONGRESS AND ITS DIRTY TRICKS: SIDING WITH RADICALS !

Sukhbir  Badal, deputy chief Minister of Punjab has alleged in a memorandum to the President of India on 22 November 2015 that  Congress has links with the Khalistani organizations and using them to disturb peace and harmony in the state of Punjab. It is a very serious allegation and it can not be made without some evidence with the Punjab government. It must not be dismissed lightly. Indian media must go into details and find out the truth. Merely giving Congress rejoinder is not enough.  Knowing Congress past history allegation can not be easily discounted.

It may be recollected that some two months back Torn pages ( called "BIRS" ) of Guru Granth Sahib ( Holy book of Sikhs) were thrown around in Moga and four other cities of Punjab. it aroused the communal passions and many Sikh organizations were enraged. Investigations by Punjab Government gave indications that a conspiracy was hacked up in Australia and Dubai by some NRI Sikhs, who had links with ISI of Pakistan.

It is suspected that some of these NRI Sikhs have close ties with some Congress leaders, who wants to disturb peace in Punjab by hurting Religious sentiments. The aim of congress is alleged to be to create communal tension in the state so as to make some political gains for the forthcoming Assembly elections in Punjab in the year 2017. If so, it is a very dangerous and malicious intent with serious repercussions for the security and integrity of the nation.

Punjab has just begun to recover from the horrendous days of militancy seen in the two decades of 80s and 90s of the last Century. Pakistan is desperately trying to revive the hey days of militancy in Punjab. The fires of those  militancy days have yet not been fully doused; flames are still simmering. It must be noted unless there was some internal combustion, outside agents can not do much. Willingly or unwittingly, if Congress has chosen to fuel this fire , then, it ought to be checked now.

Who does not know the causes of the start of earlier militancy in Punjab? Even a new born child in Punjab would tell you that it was the outcome of political rivalry between two tall Congress leaders i.e.  Giani Zail Singh and Darbara Singh, which sparked it. Later, Zail Singh created Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale to counter Akali hold on rural peasantry.

Giani Zail Singh being the right hand man of Indra Gandhi, it won't be a surprise , if she had consented to Zail Singh to use of JS. Bhindrawale. His rise gave a fillip to militancy in Punjab and he became a larger than life image, bigger than his own creator. His rise was exploited by Pakistan. It was the short sightedness of congress which led to two decades of blood shed in Punjab. It seems Congress has NOT learnt a lesson from this folly of her.

The gory days of that period have left many a scars on the nation's psyche. Use of force in the Golden Temple to flush out Bhindrawale; killing of Indra Gandhi; Anti-Sikh riots of 1984 and martyrdom of Sh. Beant Singh in 1994 are some of the painful milestones of those dark days. Is Rahul Gandhi trying to foist those days on Punjab?  Whatever explanations/ clarifications Captain Amrender, Congress leader in Punjab, might give but he can not deny that JS Bhindrawale was Congress creation.

After the Golden Temple fiasco, even Captain Amrender Singh had left Congress and joined Akali Dal. He was hurt, too. Who would know Punjab's halcyon days history better than him. His defence of Rahul Gandhi is unconvincing. People of Punjab know that Congress always has handful dirty tricks up its sleeves. It has kept the nation divided over caste, creed, region, religion and lingual issues.

It created the myth of 'Majority and Minority' to create its captive vote Bank. It's shadowy secularism has kept the so called minorities staying away from main stream. The interests of its power brokers in these communities lay in keeping them illiterate and poor. This ensures their vote bank intact. Special privileges have been bestowed upon castes and regions in the form of reservations and special protection of hill states. These provisions in the constitution have led  to islands of conflicts within the nation. It is time sensible leaders like Captain Amrender Singh do some soul searching and leave this dangerous path.

Sukhbir Badal has given the memorandum to President Parnab Mukherjee, once a tallest and well informed leader of Congress. He very well knows the inside story of Punjab Militancy. He must be deeply worried because he knows the Congress very well. He ought to advice Sonia and Rahul Gandhi to stop such venturing for short term political gains.

We must understand that it was the competitive politics of Congress and Akalis  that Punjab had witnessed, which accounted for both using extremists to counter each other. Same competitiveness might compel present day Akali leadership to do the same. When two monkeys fight, an outside cat will certainly take adbvantage. Definitely, ISI of Pakistan is waiting for this game to begin. Nation and it's president can not ignore the allegations made by Sukhbir Badal. Past history of Congress substantiates them. If this time, Punjab goes back to those days, it would be catastrophic for the whole nation. Wake up India, listen to Sukhbir Badal, now. Do not blame Akalis later.
