BY BLAMING INDIA FOR DOUBLE TERRORISTS ATTACK ON KARACHI AIRPORT, IS HAFEEZ SAYEED OF LASKAR-e-TAIYABA ISSUING THREAT TO INDIA FOR REPEAT OF MUMBAI 26/11?
The double attack on Karachi Airport recently has prompted HAFEEZ SAYEED of LeT to say that it was the handiwork of India. To me, there is no doubt that he was speaking the language of Pakistan Army. It needs a breather and divert public attention. This attack has humiliated the army and established the capability of TTP to strike anywhere at will. The failed attempt of Pakistan army to reign in TTP in Waziristan has placed it in a very precarious conditions. Recent attack on Geo TV anchor, allegedly at the behest of ISI has further discredited Pakistan army. There is a law suit filed against it by Geo TV.
There is definitely something in the air and Pakistan army wants some big incident to divert public attention. Otherwise what good be her STRATEGIC ASSET, it has been nursing and feeding for years. Blaming India not only diverts public attention but it also covers up Pakistan Army's incompetence and inability to tackle TTP, a strategic asset turned foe.
I am of the opinion that as long as Pakistan army calls its shots in Pakistan, democratic and political leadership has no say in matters of foreign policy and defence. Ayesha Siddiqa, Pakistani defence analyst has recently observed that democratic traditions did not mean that Pakistan army was prepared to give up its control on security and foreign policy. So Nawaz Sharief, Zardaris and Bhuttos can come and go but Pakistan Army retains the real power. Army's interests lay not in confronting the JIHADIS or the TALIBAN but a HINDU INDIA, who had humiliated her in 1971. The scars of Bangla Desh war are too deep on Pakistan military psyche to forget it.
Therefore, despite all track II diplomacy talks and Prime Ministerial visits, India can not sit idle and think that KARACHI can not be enacted in India. It is very much on the cards, may be in days or months or even in a year's time. How should India respond? Answer is clear and simple : cut diamond with diamond. Use the same tactics as does Pakistan Army. Energize your DTD, too. Amongst various options available, the worst is not to do anything as was done by UPA government. The best option is to pay back in the same coin. Make LeT supremo's words become a prophecy. Let Pakistan know that WOM (War By Other Means) is coming home to hatch the eggs, it laid everywhere.
Pakistan's Achilles heel is Afghanistan------ India must invest there heavily financially and militarily. Make the strategic partnership with Afghanistan so attractive that even Afghan TALIBAN falls for it. Time to pay back to apak military in the same coin. Let Baluchis, Hazaras, Mohajirs, Shias and minorities such as Christians, Sikhs and HINDUS become the striking arm of Indian intelligence agencies. Don"t forget you need diamond to cut diamond. Time has come to shed moralistic stand and play a realist's game.
INDIA MUST WARN PAKISTAN : WE SHALL DO UNTO YOU AS YOU DO TO US!
Pakistan has always openly given moral, material, military and financial support to separatists of Kashmir and other insurgents groups in India. It does not dither in calling Indian terrorists and violence mongers of Kashmir as " freedom Fighters". ISI is even suspected to prop up MAOISTS/ NAXALITES. It has been 25 years since 1989, when Pakistan sponsored WOM ( War By Other Means) was launched on India in the form of " AZADI MOVEMENT" in Kashmir and KHALISTAN MOVEMENT in Punjab. India and Indians, since then, have suffered a lot at the hands of Pakistan.
Caught in the whirlpool of its moralistic stand, India has been only hoping that some day Pakistan might come to terms with the realities of the present times. Unfortunately, while general public in Pakistan might be wanting to come to terms with the ground reality, Pakistan's military establishment, who controls Pakistan, does not allow these general sentiments of the public in Pakistan to dominate the decision making.
The reason is obvious: the day relations between India and Pakistan normalise on the realities of 21st Century, military establishment in Pakistan loses its shine. It would have No ENEMY to emotionally blackmail people of Pakistan. Why would Generals of Pakistan military like to lose their pre- eminence in public life of Pakistan. Anti India stance also allows Pakistan military to cover up their goof-ups since general elections in Pakistan of 1970-71.
If Bangla Desh is no more a part of Pakistan today, the responsibility fully lies with Pakistani military and its blinded Generals. Its anti India obsession led to a dream of STRATEGIC DEPTH in Afghanistan and controlling Afghanistan. This gave birth to TALIBAN, who is like FRANKENSTIEN's MONSTER and is devouring vitals of Pakistan, today. Besides, as part of its WOM on India, it created an army of "Irregular soldiers" in the form of JIHADIS, whom it conveniently dubs today as NON STATE ACTORS. Thus, Lashker-e- Taiyba ( LeT) , Hizbul Mujahidins (HM) or now infamous INDIAN MUJAHIDINS (IM) were reared in ISI's Jihadi Factories and unleashed on India.
Time for India to tell Pakistan : you are welcome to do to us, what you want to do, but we have the rights to do the same the same to you and we shall do it without any inhibitions now. Expect no magnanimity from us. And we shall do it with more vigor and zeal. Let Baluchis, Mohazir, Hazara, Shia, Ahmadia , Pakhtoon and Sindh liberation armies mushroom in Pakistan to make its military taste its own medicine. WOM is the answer for WOM.
It is time for India to tell Pakistan that we do not trust you any more. You have honored no pact and agreement since 1947 , whether it was UNO resolution of 13 August 1948, or host of other agreements such as KARACHI Agreement of 1949; Taskent Pact of 1966, SHIMLA Agreement of 1972 or even Lahore declaration of 1999. And we are not bound to honour any other bilateral pact, whether it was Indus Water treaty or MFN status to Pakistan.
It is time to tell Pakistan Military : DO NOT BLACKMAIL US BY THREATENING TO 'NUKE' INDIA.We will respond with double the ferocity. We might survive but you shall evaporate. You want war , we are ready to fight it. Let us have another "MAHABHARTA".
It is time for India to tell its own peace enthusiasts like Kuldeep Nayyar or Arun Dhati Roy to shut up. It is time for India to wind up its Track II diplomacy shop . They have achieved nothing and they shall do nothing. Track II is a Pakistani ploy to keep fooling the India leadership with hopes of peace , while Pakistan military keep pin pricking India.
Let me tell all PEACE ENTHUSIASTS or AMAN KI ASHA EXPONENTS that peace and harmony in South Asia is not possible until Pakistan military is subordinated to Pakistan's political leadership in real terms. And this is in the hands of general public of Pakistan. It has to rise against the misdeeds of its military. It has to ask for dismantling of its own GESTAPO like organization called ISI.
Till it happens, Indian leadership has no business to talk peace with Pakistan. It is a sheer waste of time. TRACK II has become a hub of Seven Star dining and wining at government expenses on both sides. Generals and bureaucrats, who fill its ranks, are NOT going to resolve any issue. They promise hope because of their own survival to ensure their longevity. It is time for India to be realistic on Pakistan and shed all presences of peace till Pakistan army and its Generals are blasted in Pakistan like it happens in India. It is time India give itself break from hopes on Pakistan realistically mending fences with it.
