CONGRESS AND ITS VETERANS

Yes, yes, we are congress veterans;
As bonded labour, we follow our patron;
Our brief is not to apply our mind-----
About real truth, we are absolutely blind.

Corruption defines our 10 year tenure,
Certainly our misdeeds none will adore;
That's why we all are awfully scared;
If incorruptible Modi occupies PM's chair! 

Yea! Yea!! We did try our utmost best---
"Fake encounter" failed,'snoopgate' burst;
Seems to prevent rise of this Modi fellow, 
Our earnest attempts seems to be hollow. 

We started this with Isharat Jahan Case-
On Gujarat model, we showered no praise,
'Merchant of death',was title given to him;
'Model code violation', we made it look grim. 

"Secularism in danger", slogan was created;
As an anti-Muslim face, his image berated,
Spread the word "Modi stokes communal fires"; 
Alas! It does not work as Muslims are tired. 

Then came AAP and became our only hope,
Frustrated youth of India came to it in droves, 
We leisurely invested in it without inhibition;
But it betrayed itself due to inner contradiction.

One may say, "we are fighting a losing battle",
And Congress might seem to be badly rattled--
Yet, like 'Goebbels',we must turn lies into truth; 
How does it matter if you brand us as uncouth?
