INDIANS : CLAMOUR FOR RESERVATION WITH INTENT TO SHIRK WORK AND IDLING IS THE FAVOURITE PASTIME!

You don't agree with me? Do you? I bet you will, when you have a glimpse of our daily national life. Look at the way we keep ourselves busy with social media, which includes whatsapp. We waste time in wishing good mornings, happy birthdays / happy anniversaries or just keep cluttering cell phone space of recipients with unwanted “ Forwards” and thus waste his time too in deleting such trash.

We not only waste time in forwarding the posts but never read them and emulate the golden words we send to others to follow. On the death of a leader, we shun work and expect holidays. National mourning for us is to sit at home and do nothing. Indians are the biggest work shirkers. They waste time in praying to Gods in Mandirs, Masjids, Churches and Gurudwaras, to give them what they do not want to work for. Crowds at religious congregations would tell you how good Indians are in shirking work.

Indian social system is such, irrespective of religion, region, caste and creed, that idling and shirking work is their favourite game. The 80:20 concept of work culture fits Indians very well , where 20% people work but 80% enjoy the fruits of their labour. People look towards God and Godmen to make them comfortable and do their job.

Indians typically believe in GOD's WILL. They wait for God to help them while sitting idle at home. Basic psyche of an Indian is : BHAGWAN KAREGA HAMARI IMDAD. (God will help us) This is deeply ingrained in us. This is why we find Babas and Gurus mushrooming in India. You find god men's ashram at every 10-15 kms in North India.

These religious or sect / cult Gurus live in palatial houses and crowds fall at their feet to get Baba's blessing for some miracle in their lives. Fact is, very rarely, most Indians work to get what they want in life. They seek it through Government acts or the benevolence of their leaders--- who give them crumbs at election times---- mobile phones, laptops and computers are freely distributed. Most Indians lack KHUDDARI or SELF RESPECT. No wonder RESERVATION or QUOTA system is a most sought after provisions.

And the latest “God” in this chain is the policy of reservation of our constitution , which makes bulk of the Government employees lazy and lethargic because quota system will push them up the ladder , however incompetent and inefficient they are. When it becomes a fundamental right, people do not work for it as they would advance in life without working for it. However it affects government efficiency, competence and onetime completion of works. Corruption, dishonesty and rivalry are rampant in such a system. Such a system promotes political irresponsibility amongst leaders and the led.

The clamour for reservation not only holds nation to ransom but leads to violence and social tension. Some years back JAT agitation led to chaos and disorder in Haryana. Some women were raped in Karnal - Sonipat Area. Houses were put on fire by the violent mob in Rohtak and Rewari . Similarly, Dalit agitation organised, a year or two years back, bear testimony as to how people are misguided by these gullible politicians. The crowds that enacted a mayhem in some North Indian cities during opposition called Bharat Bandh, did not even know that SC order had nothing to do with the Reservation for SC/ ST. It was not even dilution Of SC/ ST Act . But this was the impression given to Dalits --- who destroyed thousands of crores of properties across North India.

Look at thousands of people attending political rallies and protest marches. It means they have nothing better to do in life. Lakhs are gathered at these venues by allurement of money. Some time back, it was so revealed in an AAP rally in Haryana , when rally participants complained that they had not been paid promised ₹450:- per head. It clearly shows that people scramble to political rallies only for money. The big crowds in the rally also show that how many constructive man hours were wasted in these rallies to listen to mud-slanging talks by these political Zeroes.

Why talk about general public shirking work. Even our parliamentarians do this. In an analysis of one of the parliament sessions of 23 days, our worthy representatives worked only 1% in Lok Sabha and 6% in Rajya Sabha. They get paid for doing nothing. Not only this, they get extremely subsidised food in the Parliament canteen. All this is their privilege for doing nothing. Some of them even indulge in watching pornographic material while important issue is being discussed.,And these parliamentarians expect Government to do wonders for the general public.

The evil of caste based reservation in professional institutes , government jobs , promotions is making people mentally and intellectually bankrupt.,in fact, inefficiency and corruption in Government department owe themselves to the very evil of reservation. Inept, incompetent and inefficient persons fill the slot because of the reserved quotas for them.

This leads to not only “ Action Paralysis” in the system but makes them greedy and dishonest., “Nithallas” (idle persons) thus swarm the seat of governance in every walk of life.,Thus it takes double the time for a welfare project of the government to be initiated and treble time it takes to be completed after it was started. It not only leads to cost escalation but also tweaking of relevant yardsticks or the qualitative requirements ( QR) . No wonder bridges collapse; defence purchases get delayed and national security gets compromised.

The caste based policy of reservation is the most ill- advised provision of the constitution. Initially, the theme may be noble but, today, it has become an appendage of vote bank politics today. Political parties do not want to do away with it for fear of losing votes. And thus nation is held to ransom , every now and then, by various caste leaders. While JL Nehru might have blundered by insisting on its incorporation in the constitution but political leaders following him have also not acquitted themselves well. One threat from a political ally of Bihar of the present government at the centre, has made the Union Government to give in to him . It , thus, recommended to Supreme Court for continuation of reservation in promotions in Government jobs for SC/ ST categories.

This is such a CHAKRAVIYUH that no politician or a political party can get out of it and the system will continue to put square pegs in the round holes. India thus, moves four steps forward but is pulled back by three and a half steps. Snail pace of development has been the story of this country since independence, while China has gone far ahead of her.

A CIA agent had once told a Pakistani Brigadier , Yousaf Mohammed , Incharge of Afghanistan Desk of ISI , in 1980 that Indians can sell their mother for money, this has been so revealed by the said Brigadier in his book BEAR TRAP— BLEEDING BY THOUSAND CUTS . The context was supply of Indian SLR rifles to Afghan militants fighting against Soviet troops. Brigadier Yousaf Mohammed surprised to see this arms consignment of Indian Rifles from Ishapore, Kolkotta, so procured by CIA. No wonders one finds crowds thronging political rallies with eye on money.

These work shirkers also throng the electronic Media. Whole day they will keep repeating the same story aimlessly. Immature anchors and journalists feel elated on sensationalising an event. BOLLYWOOD event or the death of a 93 years old politician had so mesmerised Indian TV Channels that they forgot to talk about four young soldiers killed in Kashmir. This is the “NITHALLA” media who expects present Indian Government to have changed the shape of India in just five years , while they do not want to do anything else other than enhancing TRP of their channels.
