ADVENT OF COSMIC AGE AND WITHERING CONCEPT OF NATION STATE !

We may like it or dislike it but JNU incident is a reflection of the coming times when individualization will transcend geographical and cultural boundaries. Cries of Freedom of speech and economic needs will lead to new social, political, regional and international affinities and re-alignments. Small and ' miniaturization' is the USP of the emerging world. Rapidly advancing technologies would transform the world into a MOTHERBOARD of interconnected micro dots of autonomous city states. Alvin Toffler in early 90s of the 20th Century had predicted the rise of 5000 city states by the end of 21st Century in his book POWER SHIFT.

Modern world with Internet and social sites such as Facebook ,Whatsapp, and Telegram has been literally shrunk . Advent of mobile phones has not only revolutionized the communications but have merged space and time. With the the news of MDIF (Media Development Investment Fund) planning to launch OUTERNET in the near future, through a network of Sattelites, free WiFi would be available worldwide. Anyone with a mobile phone or a PC would be able to connect to Internet and surf from anywhere in the world.

This would change the world as we know. The first casualty would be the concept of 'Nation state'. Physical distances notwithstanding, "interactive distances" would come to a naught. There would be only one citizenship i.e. Global citizenship. Political and religious boundaries would begin to crack. This is the time mankind would leap into the "Cosmic Age"---- beyond the 'Knowledge' and 'Information Age' of the last few decades. "Cosmic man", as I visualize, would go "Galaxy Hopping" by the beginning of 22nd Century.

Every one must know that "Nation-state concept" is almost at the verge of extinction as the "Globalised world" turns into a big Micro chip, with inter connected self sustaining economic Micro dots, in the form of city states of a 'Globalized world'. Yes, we are almost knocking at the doors of COSMIC era, past the "information era". Move on the cry babies!

In "Power-Shift", Alvin Toffler discusses three pillars of Power i.e Force, Money and Knowledge. He then goes on to describe that mankind has passed through three waves of growth and development i.e Agricultural wave, Industrial wave and Knowledge wave/Information wave. The First wave of Agriculture, flourished from 1st Century AD to 15th Century, the second wave of Industrial growth lasted till mid 20th century and since then mankind has been slowly moving in Third wave of Information.

In the Agricultural wave, FORCE was the real base of power and other two were just supporting pillars. In the industrial wave, wiegtage shifted to MONEY and in the Information Wave, it is KNOWLEDGE, which describes power and other two are just supporting pillars. While the First Wave lasted 1500 years; Second Wave just about 500 years. Information age is just about 60-65 years old and we see signs of its passing away and coming of the Fourth Wave i.e. "Cosmic Wave" in another 50-60 years or so.

I will talk about them in detail a little later. Let me first touch upon two aspects of Religion and Nationalism. Both have been "opium of the masses." ‘Religion’ has often been wrongly equated with ‘spirituality' and similarly ‘Nationalism’ has been synonymous with ‘patriotism’. This dual synonymy has always been the real cause of human conflict and confrontation.

Religion had been basically designed to perform certain temporal rituals/ practices which had become utmost necessary as part of human faith and belief to live life in a particular manner. Religion was evolved to ‘regulate' daily human life.

As against this, ‘spirituality’ guides, motivates and drives human beings to rise above narrow and parochial personal motives to synthesize human soul and the nature. It upholds man’s quest for ‘Inner Peace’ with self and supports his inquisitive search for ‘Moralistic Answers’ to ‘Humanistic Questions’.

Viewed as such, religion might seem to be part of ‘Spirituality’ but never a holistic canvas covering spirituality. It might be ‘one of the means’ and ‘not the only mean’ to seek inner peace. In a world abounding in ignorance, illiteracy and little-knowledge of not-too-distant past, religion had sought to provide answers to man’s spiritual queries. In the days bygone, knowledge of man was so limited both in extent and depth that religion sought to fill the vacuum by satisfying human curiosity. In other words, where knowledge had failed to provide answers, ‘Religion’ had stepped in with ‘symbolic’ answers.

But answers provided by religion were always stereo-typed and revolved around its ‘Singularity of only Truth’. This became belief and unshakeable faith and anyone suggesting any deviation became the cause of hatred and confrontation. Religion had left no space in the human mind for alternative and better knowledge. It exploited illiteracy and unawareness of its subjects. Merely acquiring academic knowledge is not the empowerment of human mind.

It is the understanding and application of this academic knowledge which enables one to break free of ‘Religious-Singularity-of- Only-Truth’ (R- SOOT). Those, who still believe in the religious singularity of only truth, are as illiterate as were the people in the medieval periods. Knowledge has many truths about itself which the bigots can hardly understand. But, today, the scene has changed many times over and the onrushing deluge of knowledge is pushing religion now into background.

Similarly, “Nationalism” was a product of Industrial revolution in the 18th Century. The coming of the machines had standardized production and enhanced human capacity to produce more consumable goods in a lesser time period. Standardized processes led to production of goods in bulk. Mass production became the order of the day and this unleashed a competition for more raw material and resources. More and more groups of people merged into one ‘key social mass’ to produce larger socio-geographical identities.

This ‘Massification’ of people and societies led to bigger socio-politico communities. This gave birth to the concept of a ‘Nation State’—where geography, ethnicity, military prowess, lingual similarities and cultural affinities played greater role in defining national boundaries. This emotional sense of belonging to something supreme generated a feeling of ‘superiority’ and greatness.

It became the duty of every single man within the borders of such geographic descriptions to protect its territorial integrity at all costs—even with supreme sacrifice. This came to be called patriotism. Thus, man had acquired different national identities—each one claiming superiority and greatness. Such competitive thoughts had to spark hatred and dislike amongst humans. Industrial revolution gave rise to organized conflicts and wars between nations as ‘expansionist interests’ clashed.

Both ‘Religion’ and ‘Nation State’ had divided humanity into different ‘ghettoes’—always hating and fighting against one another. Ignorance and ‘Lack of Awareness’ had often made man his own worst enemy.

Man fought for Germany, England, USA, Russia, Italy, Japan, China, India, France and Pakistan etc. Man even fights for Islam, Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Communism and Capitalism et al. All this he resorts to because he was given these identities at the time of his birth.

These “Birth-Tag’ identities had pushed man far away from the basic tenets of ‘Humanism’. But all this is now going to change as 'Knowledge' revolution has "flattened" the world and there is no scope for emotional frailties of ignorance and unawareness.

‘Man’ has been ‘individualized’ because of rising awareness level and sky-rocketing aspirations. Societies and families have broken up under the pressure of ‘Individualization’. Zeal for ‘Self-promotion-at-all-costs’ has sent ‘individualized man’ globe-trotting to serve personal interests better. Societies and polities are getting tailor-made for globe-trotting man.

Such a ‘Globalised man’ views ‘Nationalism’ and ‘Religion’ as outmoded philosophies which put him at a utter disadvantage because they narrow down his sphere of activities and opportunities in an otherwise leveled playing field of a "Flattened World".

A school of thought is emerging that those who do not join the band wagon will lose out. The message is clear: either hook on or be left behind in the ignonimity of the ‘Grand Canyons of Times’, when your other contemporaries elsewhere were now moving past the last stage of Knowledge Age and knocking on the doors of the cosmic era.

Thomas R Friedman has postulated three stages of Globalization in his book, “The World is Flat”. The first stage he says started around 1492 AD when Columbus hit the coast of America. This was Globalization1.0. It was spearheaded by countries trying to turn the "large" world into "medium". It lasted around 300 years till about 1800 AD.This was the time when "Industrial" revolution had galvanized Europe and the concept of "nation state" was born. Industrial Revolution gave rise to Multi National Companies or MNCs.

The GLOBALISATION 2.0 was sparked by the MNCs and it turned the world from medium to small. It ended around 2000 AD.

The GLOBALISATION 3.0 was spearheaded by "Individual" who had been empowered by COMPUTERS, INTERNET and WEB to be his own player in a FLATENED WORLD—where everyone was having a level playing field to do what he wants to do. The world had been turned from SMALL into a TINY nodes in the universe.

Alvin Toffler (I referred to him in Part One, too) in his trilogy of books, namely, “Future Shock”, “Third Wave” and “Power Shift” talks at length of the THREE WAVES of growth and development mankind has undergone since its inception. Each wave had a dominating philosophy.

FIRST WAVE was dominated by AGRICULTURE or physical force. SECOND WAVE, which coincided with GLOBALISATION 1.0 and GLOBALISATION 2.0 of FRIEDMAN, was dominated by MONEY or mass production. THIRD WAVE, almost synonymous with GLOBALISATION 3.0, is associated with INFORMATION or the KNOWLEDGE.

Accordingly, each wave described the society as such i.e. AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY, INDUSTRIAL SOCIETY and the INFORMATION SOCIETY. The First Wave lasted around 1500 years--- up to the start of Industrial Revolution in Europe. The Second Wave began around 15th Century and it carried on for almost four hundreds and fifty years and it lasted till mid Twentieth Century.

The Third Wave or the ‘Information Age’ began around the end of Second World War and it unleashed an era of ‘Total Transformation of the Society’. As the mankind entered 21st Century, the THIRD WAVE was also seemingly moving towards drawing curtains on itself. We would enter a new era in the near future i.e. the FOURTH WAVE ---‘THE COSMIC WAVE’.

The process of GLOBALISATION and KNOWLEDGE REVOLUTION has shrunk the world to a level where the world is heading into borderless landmass of free- flowing GLOBAL CITIZENS. At the same time, man has ventured into space. He is now looking beyond the earth. There are tell-tale signs of some form of intelligent life in the outer space. 'Mars orbitte'r has already raised hopes of water on the planet Mars. Many astronomers believe that "WE WERE NOT ALONE" in the universe.

We are sure heading into the COSMIC AGE where man could think of ‘GALAXY-HOPPING’ in the not-too-distant-future. We are now capable of imagining the mythical characters of VEDIC PEOPLE who could move into THREE WORLDS with the twinkling of an eye. Man would become a TIME TRAVELER.

We have been able to identify EARTH-II which lay at some 20.5 LIGHTS YEARS away from us. It could have some form of life. May be in next 50 years manned mission could be sent to this planet to find if there were any homosapiens there.Man would be interactive with ETs (Extra Terrestials)---or other forms of INTELLIGENT LIFE in the universe.

We are sitting at the edge of a revolutionary change in our ‘Ways of Life’—when ‘Religion and Nations’ would become irrelevant in our daily chores. We will THINK GLOBAL and ACT GLOBAL in everyway.

THIRD WAVE and GLOBALISATION 3.0 are shaping the future of the COSMIC MAN who is looking beyond the mundane frontiers of the EARTH and thinking of enmeshing into the SPACE. In such a scheme of things, RELIGION and NATION STATE would have NO PLACE. Some of us have already leapfrogged into the FOURTH WAVE of COSMIC AGE. The transient period is of GLOBALISED MAN and he has already hit the economical fabric of the GLOBE.

Nixon Bostorm, Director of FUTURE OF HUMANITY INSTITUTE at OXFORD University has postulated that the day was not far when a robotized man could actually become a reality. In other words, activities of a ‘BIO-TECH’ man could be simulated.

This is heralding characters of the movie MATRIX in reality for you, when you could be doing things in a ‘Virtual World’. Bostorm even goes to the extent of saying that 20 percent chance exists when ours could be a SIMULATED WORLD.

It means it could be switched off like our computer screen goes off when we log off. This view could be strengthening the “ID THEORY” of the creation of universe as against the “BIG BANG THEORY”. I leave it at this.

But the fact remains BIO-TECH BRAINS, as in the movie MATRIX, could be created who would be able to simulate a physical body and move around in a simulated world. Time and space to such VIRTUAL HUMAN BEINGS would be a matter of no significance. They would move from place ‘A’ to place ‘B’ with the twinkling of an eye.

Technologies are advancing so fast that TIME TRAVELLING won't be a mystery of VEDIC CULTURE. Digitalised Human beings could recreate them selves and relive their past ( read my piece on "Digitalised humans"--I shall dwell upon such technological advances in the next part)

We are heading into the age of COSMIC TRAVELLERS who would go ‘GALAXY HOPPING’ as the modern man goes ‘CONTINENT HOPPING’ today. ‘Cosmic travelers’ would provide us real time information on outer space. Where would, then, be the time for EARTHLY BOUNDARIES of MIND and Physical SPACE? Religion and Nation State would have no identity in the COSMIC WORLD of tomorrow.

The advent of FLATENED WORLD has already produced a class of ‘CONTINENT-HOPPING-CITIZENS’ who have hardly any strong affiliation or ties with one particular nation. They are a class of ROVING HUMAN BEINGS who are more inspired and fired by ECONOMIC zeal.

In a level-playing field, they look for opportunities to find cheapest ways of wealth creation. BPOs, KPOs and IT industry have revolutionized the concept of manufacture and production at the global level. Borders have begun to disappear and the walls separating people are collapsing everywhere.

The day is not far when the NATIONAL BOUNDARIES WOULD merge into one another and the concept of NATION STATE would be consigned to dustbin of human history. The world is likely to be broken into thousands of interdependent and interconnected economic nodes with no predominant political ideology as the governing philosophy.

Alvin Toffler has predicted the rise of some 5000 City States with their own economic agenda. Their emergence would really not spell a death knell for the religion but it would push it into insignificance. Religion might not play as significant a role in man’s spiritual life as it does today. It would become a private affair.

The recent upsurge of the RELIGION and the NATIONALISTIC EMOTIONS are the clear-cut signs of dying philosophies. The desperation is to protect the banishing identities in a GLOBALISED WORLD. A churning process is on in the form of religious violence and resulting revulsion to it. More the religious fundamentalists tryu to protect themselves by waves of violence, more they destroy themselves.

We see the OFFICIALDOM everywhere is trying to use FORCE to keep the ‘breaking unit’ under its wings. Nations after nations are falling prey to thi inner explosions. Call it insurgency, militancy, terrorism or what have you? The fact remains: NATIONS ARE UNDER ATTACK FROM WITHIN.

The GLOBE is currently transiting through a PROCESS of POLITICO-RELIGIOUS ‘Fission’ and ‘Fusion’ at the same time. While geo-politically, ‘LARGE’ is breaking into ‘SMALL’—it is leading to tension and violence in these nations. The process of FISSION is on.

Slowly and slowly all big or small nations will splinter into small economic nodes. This is the call of the GLOBALISED WORLD. While on one hand process of FISSION is on, on the other hand, the process of FUSION at the GLOBAL LEVEL is also working simultaneously, where these tiny economic nodes will be sewn into one big GLOBAL UNIT. These will be interconnected, interdependent and synchronized dots on the GLOBAL CHIP. Global dynamism will ensure that none could exist in a vacuum—they will exist with each other—supplementing and supporting.

It may sound funny but it is a truism that a dying insect grows wings and flutters more. Same is true of religious fundamentalism. Its sound and fury is basically to preserve its banishing identity in the wake of on-going globalization. It is true of all religions.

I reckon end of Twenty First Century will pull the curtains on religion once for all. The coming of the COSMIC AGE is sounding of the LAST POST for Religion and the Nation State. Witness their demise in the coming decades.

Thus, in conclusion what would a COSMIC MAN be? Let us sum up:-

1, A digitalised Human being---bereft of social emotions of present day. (Humans might become product of factories---Advent of Stem Cell and Genetic engineering has so advanced that Man-woman copulation might not be required).

2. He would be a Galaxy-Hopping "TIME TRAVELER".

3. He would colonize of the Outer Space.

4. He would be Interactive and perhaps, in conflict with ETs or other intelligent beings in the outer space.

It is time to know that cosmic age is knocking on the doors of mankind. Genetics, digitalization and outer space reach are the signature steps towards that age. Globe will become a microdot in the human empire of cosmic era. It would be reduced to one entity, where nations and religion would have no significance.

JNU AND HCU--- THE INFECTED LIMBS OF ACADEMIC INSTITUTES NEED A SURGICAL OPERATION

ACADEMIC INSTITUTE NEEDS A SURGICAL OPERATION.! 

Kanhaiya Kumar , President of JNUSU, booked for sedition charges by police has been granted six months interim bail by the Delhi High court Judge, Justice Pratibha Rani. Her orders giving him bail has virtually given a SHUT UP CALL to the exponents of Freedom of Speech. In so doing, she has clarified that Freedom of Speech is NOT unlimited and it can not be at peril to the National Security. This trial will set at rest various misconceptions and notions of so called liberalists of the likes of Arun Dhati Roy and others. Point is very clear : NATIONAL SECURITY AND INTEGRITY IS NOT TRADEABLE. 

Honourable Judge talked of different levels of treatments to be given to infected limbs of a human body, suffering from a serious ailment. In her concluding remarks, she prefered to give conservative treatment to Kanhayia Kumar, mincing no words that she believed of his infection due to the bad company he keeps. She asked him to introspect over the next six months and realise his blunder. 

it is clear she did not accept the plea of the Defence Lawyers that video showing Kanhaiya Kumar talking to the masked men, who raised Anti India slogans , was his attempt to find out their identities. As President of JNUSU and a coordinator of the event of 09 February 2016, along with Khalid Umar, he bears a definite responsibility of its proper conduct. In any case, the university authority had cancelled the permission. He had NO business to be there. His presence gave not only encouragement but also legitimacy to anti- National elements. 

The fact is: HE MUST KNOW THAT HE HAS BEEN USED BY ANTI NATIONAL ELEMENTS (ANE) . Honorable Judge Pratibha Rani has given him the interim bail to realise his folly. It is almost his conviction. Do Congress, Left, AAP and others of Freedom of Speech brigade realise their folly? They had rushed to JNU when Kanhaiya Kumar was arrested. Rahul Gandhi, Anand Sharma of Congress and Sita Ram Yechuri of CPIM should apologisle to the nation for this faux pax. 

Here are some excerpts from Justice Pratibha Rani's Inperim bail order, as listed out in NDTV, news portal :--

Listing the evidence provided by the police and the content of slogans on the night of February 9, Justice Rani observed, "The thoughts reflected in the slogans raised by some of the students of JNU who organized and participated in that programme cannot be claimed to be protected as fundamental right to freedom of speech and expression."

""I like to consider this as a kind of infection from which such students are suffering which needs to be controlled/cured before it becomes an epidemic," she noted in the order. And, then went on to elaborate on the line of treatment for what she observed was the "infection."

""Whenever some infection is spread in a limb, effort is made to cure the same by giving antibiotics orally and if that does not work, by following second line of treatment. Sometimes it may require surgical intervention also. However, if the infection results in infecting the limb to the extent that it becomes gangrene, amputation is the only treatment."

""During the period spent by the petitioner in judicial custody, he might have introspected about the events that had taken place. To enable him to remain in the main stream, at present I am inclined to provide conservative method of treatment."

it it is clearly evident that honorable judge has been provided with evidence by the Delhi police, which leaves no doubts in the Judge's mind that Kanhaiya Kumar was to be blamed, if not directly but indirectly, for having abetted the crime against the nation. It is a shame on Arvind Kejriwal, Rahul Gandhi, Sita Ram Yechuri who were dismissing it as mere freedom of Speech. They questioned the police for arresting him. With anti- Modi blinkers on, their tunneled vision can not distinguish between right and wrong. They had let down the nation.

India Under Attack!

METHOD IN THE MADNESS!

Ever since 2014 parliamentary elections results threw up National Democratic Alliance (NDA) into power, there has been a systematic attempt to undermine India's unity and integrity. Forces inimical to existence of India, both within and outside India are waging an all out war to destroy India, not only militarily but also, culturally and politically. In the last 20 months of maddening chaos, there is a method in this madness.

Whether it is Jat agitation of Haryana or Gujar agitation of Rajasthan or even JNU student agitation, issues crop up out of thin air. They are pumped and sustained by forces inimical to India's existence. 'Strategically-illiterate' Indian politicians, most to cover their corrupt tracks in the past and hide their misdeeds, join hands to ensure that governing was paralyzed.Indian legal system and judiciary adds to this confusion by throwing spokes in the wheel. Indian laws have no 'nationalistic sentiments'. Right under the noses of judges, crime against the nation are committed but judges remain mute spectators. Cases of Ajmal Kasab, Yakut Menon, Afjal Guru were crystal clear but they lingered on for years. Indian judiciary, though unintentionally and unwittingly, has a hand in undermining India's unity and existence. 

Indian parliament, the sanctity Santorum of Indian Democracy, is the mother of all chaos. It is constantly dysfunctional since May 2014. Every season , causes are invented to paralyze it, such as Lalit Modi connection to Sushma Swaraj or Vasundhra Raje or even the beef row. No debates take place on India's security and integrity. Secularism and "Freedom of expression" characterize the USP of chaos -makers inside the parliament. Statements are twisted and quoted out of context, whether it was VK Singh or Narender Modi. Facts are distorted to create confusion.

How cleverly, MODI's " pup - remark" was linked to Muslims and VK Singh's "Throwing stones" was associated to " Dalits". VK singh did a yeoman's service in extricating troubled Indians from Yemen but media did not pay any attention to it. When he angrily called it " Pressitutes" , whole media was up in arms against him. Indian media, willingly or unwillingly plays a vital role in this war against India. Without verifying facts, it spins out stories which lead to controversies. Take the "Beef row" and Dadri incident. Instead of dousing communal fires, media added fuel to it.

Beef row gave rise to "Tolerance and Intolerance" debate. The suicide case of Rohith Vemula of Central University in Hyderabad led to mayhem in the country. Some one said that he was a " Dalit" , others said he was an " OBC". Whatever his caste, heavens had NOT fallen, if one student had committed suicide. Daily so many farmers commit suicide, there is no agitations. So many soldiers lay down their lives on the borders, so that these students can study properly. The incident was used to undermine India's integrity. And there is certainly a method in this kind of madness. 

Now ponder about this JNU row. It is being blown out of proportions. Kanhaiya Kumar, JNUSU President, was picked up by police for being part of anti- India slogan shouting group on 09 February, when a so called Cultural function was organized, where he was present as President of JNUSU. He should have intervened to stop them, if he was not party to it. At least, he should have made a police complaint against those who abused India. He did neither. When one is head of an organisation or the institution, one has duties and responsibilities on one's shoulders, besides the privileges. His silence or inaction was a passport for anti- nationals like Umar Khalid of DSU ( Democratic Student Union) to raise anti- India slogans to openly talk of destruction of India. He is guilty of abetting it, even if he has not himself said so. 

This was not "dissent", as most anti- establishment politicians in media make out the case to be. He is not innocent , if at all anti- India slogans were raised. As president of JNUSU, he has certain responsibilities and he failed to perform them. Media is now talking of a "fake video" which says that Video linking Kanhaiya Kumar with Umar Khalid of DSU was morphed. Again, there is an attempt to project Kanhaiya Kumar as a saint. The question is whether the so called "Cultural Function " was organized on 09 February or Not? If so, was Kanhaiya Kumar present in that function? If he was present or had even endorsed it being organized, he had abetted the crime of sedition. The noise by Congress party, AAP and Left Parties has not only political overtones but also damaging to the national security and integrity. They may be unwittingly or otherwise falling prey to evil designs of China and Pakistan.

When "Dantewada massacre"of 78 CRPF Jawans took place in 2010, there were celebrations in JNU. Who does not know that Maoist insurgency in Central India is supported by China? Therefore anti- India agitations in JNU and other central universities have certainly Chinese signatures. One would not be surprised if media campaigns and violent agitations were seen to be funded by China and Pakistan. A Chinese on-line Magazine , Global Times, had in 2009, published an article, which recommended to break up India into 20-30 states. And it is slowly working towards this aim. Maoist movement had spread to 210 districts of 21 Indian states in 2010. North East has certainly been the anti India flame kept alive by Chinese support. Paresh Barua of ULFA (United Liberation Front of Assam) is in China not for nothing. 

Thus, China’s over all military strategy against India has been four pronged:-

(a) Contain and isolate India by making neighbors hostile and unfriendly.
(b) Outsource its low cost proxy war to Pakistan and Maoists/Naxalites by:-
(i) Supporting and encouraging internal
Insurgencies brewing in India and thus
break-up India through implosion. 
(ii) Using Pakistan to the maximum to retard India’s military and economic
growth.
c) Dominate sea-lanes around India through a ‘String of Pearls’ policy.
(d) Befool Indian leadership and Indian public through overt goodwill gestures in the interregnum period. 

Military Generals of Pakistan have their own arithmetic on India. Their game is to survive as rulers of Pakistan at all costs. The only way they can do this is by creating a “monster of Hindu India” in the public mind of their country and thus hobnob with anyone who is unhappy with India and her policies, whether it was USA of 50s though 70s or China since 1962. In so doing, if they have to ignore basic Pakistani interests, so be it. 

In any case, in Pakistan’s military perceptions, interests of the ‘Generals’ are the national interests of Pakistan. It is, therefore, in their interests to have a continued state of hostility between India and Pakistan. Any attempt to normalize relations must be scuttled with some irreconcilable incidents, like Kargil-99 episode; assault on Indian Parliament on December 13, 2001 or Mumbai 26/11 or attacking Pathankot Air base in January 2016.

Thus, Pakistan military follows five pronged strategy on India, as under:-

(a) Isolate India by enhancing US/ West helplessness over Afghanistan by controlling militant network engaging USA/NATO in Afghanistan. 
(b) Act in conjunction with China to not only retard India’s economic and military growth but also be an important node of a combined threat in-being to India’s security. 
(c) Continued animosity with India by harping about ‘unfinished agenda of 1947’ and seeking Kashmir. 
(d) Weaken, attrite and balkanize India through her ‘War by Other Means’ (WOM) by using her so called ‘strategic asset’. 
(e) Use nuclear black mail to check mate India from a 'measured military response' and use of ‘strategic depth’ in case of controlled nuclear exchange. Thus, Afghanistan remains her major worry, if it was hostile to her. This is the Achilles heel in their strategy. 

Both China and Pakistan seek to dismember India by an internal explosion triggered by double pronged fuse from the East via China-supported- Maoist/Naxalite insurgency, along with other separatist movements in the North East states and from the West through Pakistan sponsored trouble in Punjab, J&K and entire North India. 

One can now understand as to how very easily, all JNU or Hyderabad incidents are given religious and caste overtones? China has plenty of surplus money to buy loyalities of uncouth Indians. Once a CIA agent had told a Pakistani Army officer, Brigadier Yousuf Mohammed, that Indians can sell their mothers for money. It might be an over exaggeration but it does convey a point. Role of foreign money in the undermining of Indian unity can not be ignored and overlooked. There may be only a handful out of 1.30 billion Indians but they are there and can be important cogs in the scheme of things of China and Pakistan. 

Secularism and "Freedom of Expression" are the two convenient tools of these "Sellable Indians". Once you rake up either of the two tools, Indian intelligentsia and English language Indian media jumps into the fray. One can , then give it a religious or caste colour. It is now being alluded to Umar Khalid's father in media that his son Umar Khalid was targeted because he was a "Muslim". And our so called " Secular" (Sickular actually) media picks up the thread to sing songs in favor of secularism. If this logic is true then, why was Kanhaiya Kumar, a Hindu, was arrested, who was merely present there. If Umar Khalid is not guilty, then, instead of hiding, he must surrender to authorities. One would like to know, how long Umar has been in the university and what course he has been pursuing. If he was Delhi- based, why was he given a seat in the JNU hostel?

What happened in Patiala House Court is a distinct reaction of people who are fed up with such divisive activities of a few Sellable Indians. Silent majority of Indians love their motherland. If someone abuses one's mother, there is bound to be a counter action. If you provoke the silent majority, the giant will awake to react in a violent manner. The incident at Patiala House court was the awakening of the silent majority. It should be a warning to most politicians that divisive and vote bank politics will do them no good. 

Congress party, mother of scams , scandals and corruption in its role as head of UPA government, is supporting such agitation because it does not want the present government to investigate and fix responsibilities for its misdeeds over the last 10 years of its rule. It is thus helping anti- national agents. It's short sightedness is damaging Indian integrity. Same is true of AAP. There are already question marks on its foreign funding and its confrontation its policy with the Central Government.

Funniest part is that FREEDOM OF SPEECH BRIGADE is now making an alibi that protests in JNU were against RSS (Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh) trying to impose its ideology in these universities. And this is the brigade which talks of intolerance in India. Firstly, if the "Leftists and Secularists" can create space in the JNU, why NOT RSS ? Problem is this. Should RSS gain foothold on these institutes, it threatens the anti- nationals and their activities! 

It is no doubt that militarily, economically, ideologically and culturally, India is under attack. Silent majority of Indians have to wake up and check the machinations of these handful of "sellable" Indians. Militarily, China and Pakistan might not be able to damage India but they might internally implode India. Time has come for patriotic Indians to act now or never.

Notwithstanding what Congress, Left Parties and AAP are ranting, a question time and again springs up in my mind: has Jawahar Lal Nehru University (JNU), located at National Capital, become a hub for anti-national activities? No doubts, it was a parking place for Leftist intellectuals, since its inception. But it is shameful that it was being used for sloganeering to seek destruction of India. What is more appalling,now, is that "left parties"  were trying to mask this truth in the name of campus freedom or freedom of speech. Is abusing India and seeking its destruction to be read as voice of dissent and principle of free speech? Constitution and judiciary of India 'Go on leave' for, we have new jurists and constitution upholders! 

In the face of available video footage, it is very clear that slogans were raised to say that war would continue till India was destroyed. It is disgraceful that people like Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal, who aspire to be Prime Ministers of India one day , dismissed it as " Voice of Dissent"? It shows their sickening minds. Do we need Mir Jaffars, Jai Chand Rathores and Lal Singh Brothers to be reborn? And on top of that Congress party is trying to divert attention by saying that it's leader , Sh Anand Sharma was attacked by some ABVP activists? What was Sh. Anand Sharma doing in the JNU campus in the hours of darkness? How did he recognize them as ABVP activists? This seems to be a doctored and a self -orchestrated event , if at all it happened. 

Explanation given by Leftist parties is that those who raised anti- India slogans were outsiders. It is all the more disturbing to know how easily, such elements can sneak in such protests? Instead of taking note of this, Sita Ram Yechuri & Co, are crying hoarse over police action against the organizers. The party should have been pulling up its office bearers in JNUSU (JN University Student Union) for such dire lapses rather than belittling police and Central Government. Why shouldn't other student unions, such as ABVP ( Akhil Bhartiya Vidyapeeth) protest against such a disgrace hoisted over the nation by these leftist intellectuals who are now looking for alibis. 

Please note, it is alleged that JNU has room rent @ Rs 11/- per month. Annual fee is Rs 219/- per year payable in 2 installments. Mess bills are subsidised through free manpower and infrastructure. If it is true, isn't India rearing up "ungrateful" in its national Capital? Should we allow such institutions to exist, who work against national interests? More and more hostels are being made to loot the taxpayer's money and further worsen the problem. 11 hostels were there in1990 now 22. More outsiders and illegal can now stay in hostels at night. Are we rearing up snakes with tax payer's money? One professor for every 15 students; Rs 3 lakh per student the govt spends for each student of JNU out of our Tax for shouting anti India slogans and pro Pakistan slogans ? How tolerant we fools are !!

One must appreciate the sentiments of ex servicemen (ESM) who wrote to Vice Chancellor of JNU to return their degrees. One can not question the nationalistic and patriotic feelings of these ESM. They water India's border sanctity and national integrity through their blood, toil and lives. They are a class apart of selfless Indians. How strange, while these "10 plus 2 passed" soldiers give their lives for the nation on the glaciated borders, there are "Phd scholars" in the national capital, who are destroying India from within. Nation has to decide whether it requires such scholars or not. I am of the view that JNU should be closed for some times and all 22 hostels should be shut down. Taxpayers money can not be wasted on ungrateful people. 

There is NO justification to whatever happened in the JNU campus, the other day. How funny is this logic that police can not enter the campus but politicians can? How silly to say that politicians can say anything and getaway but policemen and security forces are debarred from countering such politicians? Look at the shifting -sand -like -stance of Congress. It was in February 2013 when Afzal Guru was hanged. Wasn't Congress and UPA government in power at the centre, then, who allowed his hanging? Was it to corner votes that he was hanged?  What were Sita Ram Yechuri and his elk doing, then? Isn't it laughable that Congress is now condemning its own act? Indian politics of today has strange bedfellows of Congress. I am sure Indra Gandhi, JL Nehru or even Rajeev Gandhi would be turning in their graves  for such unpatriotic acts of their descendants. Wasn't Mahatma Gandhi right in his advice to Nehru, post independence to wind up the Congress? A great man and a visionary as he ever was, he must have visualized the rise of such unworthy descendent to 'political greats' of his times! 

All right thinking Indians have to not only condemn such activities but boycott the politicians who support such JNU activities. I appreciate TIMES NOW Editor In Chief, Sh Arnab Goswami, who, the other day, blasted such exponents of freedom of speech who disgrace India.  No wonder, one could suspect them to be paid agents of our enemies. May not be directly paid but through indirect methods. India has to be beware of such "Fifth Columnists" surviving in the name of "Secularism" and "Freedom of Expression". One would like to know the status of Communist and Left Parties in India and outside. Communist ideology is dead and defeated. But it is trying to resuscitate itself by undermining the national unity and existence. Ever since their only bastion in West Bengal fell apart, they are trying to create a space for themselves by hook and crook. And JNU incident is their way of reviving themselves by destroying India. How ironic is this philosophy? If India goes, can Rahul Gandhi's, Sitaram Yechuri, Arvind Kejriwals, Nitish Kumar and their supporters, exist? Just think about it.

Two significant events have taken place in the last few days. One was a Siachen Glacier mishap, a fortnight back, which led to Loss of ten soldiers in an avalanche. One of the soldier Lance Naik Hanumanthappa, came out alive after having remained buried in the snow for six days, under minus 40 degrees Celsius temperature. What was profoundly visible in his act of survival was Indian soldier's will to fight adversities in extreme adverse conditions of weather and climate. However, he did not survive and succumbed to his cold injuries. But he united the nation and reassured it that as long as men like Hanumanthappas are guarding its frontiers, no external enemy can harm India.

Another event was of a strange protest in the prestigious Jawahar Lal Nehru University (JNU) at New Delhi, some days back, which was organized to protest against the hanging of Afzal Guru, a terrorist accused of Attack on Indian Parliament in 2001. He was convicted and hanged in February 2013. Protest Was done under the premise of freedom of speech. Anti India slogans were openly raised and the nation was ridiculed in its own capital. How disgusting it was? It gave one a feeling that perhaps the sacrifices of Lance Naik Hanumanthappa and Col Mudhaliks are perhaps a waste of life.

What was more shameful and disgraceful was that a few handful agents of our enemies can deride us in our own homes. Question comes to mind: Is India a soft state? Do its politicians and legal luminaries have no vision. Indian judicial and legal system is so weak that it allows all sorts of manipulations by crooks and criminals, who can easily wriggle out of Indian legal system. This aids anti- national elements, too. The threat to India is more from enemies within. It is not understood as to how Indian judicial system allows such anti- nationalists to publicly disgrace India and raise slogans against it. This is not freedom of speech but treason. All those politicians who support them should also be booked for sedition.

Look at the truth now coming out of Ishrat Jahan encounter Case. What is tragic is that Congress party still thinks that she should have been arrested only after she had committed the crime? In their personal rivalries, Indian political parties and their leaders will never understand the difference between Counter Terrorism ( CT) and Counter Crime (CC). They continue to confuse law and order situations with militancy and Insurgency. They continue to trust the wisdom of police officials who have no business to advise on CT operations. No wonder, Pathankot Airbase CT operation was botched up. Even in Isharat Jahan case, then, UPA government made it to look like a simple Law and Order problem just to nail a political rival. How national interests are relegated for some political gains by these politicians?

Some two and a half decades back, while I was carrying out research on the causes of Militancy & Terrorism in J&K, I came across a book , "BEAR TRAP" by Brigadier (retired) Yousuf Mohammed of Pakistan Army. He was the head of Afghanistan Division in ISI (Inter Services Intelligence) during the decade of eighties of the last century. At that time, ISI and CIA of USA were hands in glove. Osama Bin Laden was the blue eyed boy of CIA for its war against erstwhile Soviet Union in Afghanistan. Today, Osama is dead and gone but its protégés, Al Qaeda and Taliban or their offshoot IS in Syria is a thorn in the flesh of USA.

All the same, I talk of the days in the 1980s, when Osama Bin Laden, ISI and CIA slept on the same bed. Indian cries of Pakistan sponsored terrorism in Punjab and J&K, then, used to be dismissed by USA and the WEST as ridiculous figment of Imagination. Pakistan, then, was the frontline state of US war in Afghanistan against the Soviets. This was betwen the years 1979 to 1989. CIA supplied arms and weapons to ISI in Pakistan. Brigadier yousouf Mohammed was the ISI coordinator with the CIA. He used to receive arms consignments---which ranged from AK-47 to Stinger Missiles.

This book "BEAR TRAP' by Yousuf Mohammed is all about arming of these people and how the illegal supplies were managed by CIA. At one place, in the book, the author claims that they had trained 80,000 Afghans in guerilla war against the Soviets. Later they all converted into hard core TALIBANS of Mullah Omar. Brigadier Yousouf, in his book, talks of bleeding adversary through "Thousand Cuts". Thus, he created innumerous splinter groups of Afghan militants, independent of each other, but under the central control of ISI. The same ISI strategy of "Thousand Cuts" is operative in India, too.

In those days of 80s, India was a close friend of not only of Soviet Union but also Afghanistan. It is so even today. Therefore, India was interested in the Soviet influence in Afghanistan to be perpetuated. It gave tactical and strategic advantages to India. General Zia Ul Haque, a former Military ruler of Pakistan, was keen to create "Strategic Depth" for Pakistan by influencing events in Afghanistan. Thus, Pakistan joined hands with USA to not only throw out the Soviets but get a control of Afghanistan by installing a pliable government. Anti- Soviet groups were created to fight soviet army. Osama Bin Laden was used to provide weapons and military equipment to these insurgent groups.

In the middle of all this, one day Brigadier Yousouf Mohammed received a consignment of one lakh 7.62 MM rifles of Indian Make---they had their 'Ishapore mark---an Indian DRDO rifle manufacturing firm'. Brigadier Yousouf was stunned. He did not expect India to supply these weapons for Afghan militants. He asked the CIA representative as to how was it possible. The CIA agent remarked, " Brigadier Yousouf, INDIANS ARE BASTARDS. THEY CAN SELL THEIR MOTHERS FOR MONEY". I was shocked when I read this remark. It was around early 90s of the last Century. I wondered, then, how could CIA manage it?

In 1995, when I was at Lucknow, I learnt of the court martial of a senior army officer at Meerut. I was told he was once Military Attache in USA. He was a very bright officer--expected to rise very high in the army but for this incident. He was suspected of alleged links with arms suppliers of the world. I often felt that Indian embassy in New York, could well have been the conduit for this clandestine supply of arms by some unscrupulous officials, who could do this unholy deal for a fistful of dollars. I suppose the guy managed to walk away with lenient punishment with the clout of his covertly earned dollars. But he did get some punishment.

This was almost 20 years back. Army had sorted out its culprit but the trend has caught on with politicians, media, business men, religious men and various professionals. Today, when I look around, I find a whole army of such traitors on the lose. India is on sale openly and without shame---from government machinery to religious and sectarian heads. What happened in the JNU Campus, the other day, is are under of the sad events.

The NGOS, under the pretext of social empowerment of minorities and dalits/SC/ST/OBC, have been set up to receive the foreign money. Teesta Setlavad heads one such NGO. Everyone knows the channels through which the money is pouring in from "Hawala Channel" & Banks. No one has ever questioned the source of funds of the State Bank of J&K--it is surprisingly the richest affiliate bank of SBI. It gets maximum deposits annually and money transactions are very fast.

The Saudi Arabian money is pouring in to all these Madarssas and terrorist groups which have been setup inIndia at breathneck speed over the last 10 years. This is known to police and Intelligence agencies but for the political expediency , no one is capable of taking action. UP has its politicians who don the colours of false Messiah of Muslims. What they ought to be doing for their upliftment and empowerment, they are just not doing. Instead they sleep with their fake and criminal leaders who are solely interested in promoting themselves at the cost of their community. These are the conduits of foreign funds. Hindu fundamentaist organisations have their own sources for ploughing in the money from outside. UP is the battle ground. The money from West is raining in for Christian Missionaries, too. The tribal areas have been buzzing with missionary activities since UPA came to power.

Indian Media has been sold out to foreigners. All these TV channels are doing the biddings of their foreign masters. There are number of articles on the Internet which highlight as to who owns Indian Print and Electronic Media. They are selling India for fistful of dollars. Media and politicians are in the lead. The tragedy is all of them roam freely without any fear. Sometimes, I feel they are not only selling the mother but are also giving daughters as a bonus. What a shame this country has become!

Some days back there was a motivated noise on "Beef Row" or Dadri Incident. An "Intolerance versus Tolerance" debate was raged on for days together . I know the gruesome acts do deserve codemnation but not the way it was being projected as HINDUS Vs MUSLIMS. It was sure a deliberate attempt to enrage emotional chords in the two communities. Once provoked they had to clash. Everyone had forgotten to find out why did this happen? What led to it? There can be "NO SMOKE WITHOUT FIRE". The solution demands Wholistic View rather than quick fix adhesive tapes. Half baked answers will give half-baked solutions. If you forget "GODHARA" and only remember GUJARAT RIOTS you resolve nothing. Similarly, we must also pay attention to the grievances of majority community too. Why had the majority Community resorted to such violence? These questions must be answered before makling hue and cry on Tolerance and Intolerance.

These are piecemeal stories which will lead you nowhere. In the bargain, everyone forgets the murderous assault by BANGLA DESHI migrants on the BODOS in ASSAM. Why is it so? What is the answer to BANGLA DESHI MIGRANTS annexing Bodo tribal lands? Why do the, Arun Dhati Roys, Teesta Setlavads, Rajinder Sachars and their news channels go silent?

Simple issues like Delhi Blasts, a few years back, were made complicated affairs by the likes of Dig Vijay Singh and Amar Singh. It might be their Vote-bank politics but it provides alibis to the enemies of India and the solace to sympathizers of Terrorism . Enemy within is strengthened by the dirty politics of India. Some of the politicians might be unwittingly helping the enemy within due to their political agendas. Legal system has to be plugged to disallow legal escape routes to these Anti Nationals. Nation must gird up itself to fight the enemy within.

PATHANKOT 01/01 : A GROSSLY MISHANDLED OPERATION!

PATHANKOT EPISODE: GROSSLY MISHANDLED ANTI- TERRORIST OPERATION.

When 26/11 happened, it was not only intelligence failure but also an utterly mishandled affair. But in the case of PATHANKOT 01/01, intelligence was there , yet it was totally badly conducted operation. In the case of Mumbai 26/11, it took over 60 hours to neutralize 10 militants including one captured alive. In case of Pathankot 01/01, timely and accurate information was there , yet it took around 60 hours to neutralize five militants. What a way to handle anti- terrorist operation? It shows something is amiss and Indian leadership and security advisors still have no idea as to how to handle WOM (War by Other Means).

The goof ups in Mumbai 26/11 were that instead of using an Infantry Battalion, just 40 minutes driving distance from the scene of terrorist strike, 48 hours were wasted in waiting for the NSG commandos. Unfortunately, political leadership, overly influenced by bureaucrats, do not realize that Infantry battalions are capable of handling such operations with more ease and comfort.

Add to it the bureaucratic NSAs who do not want to give a chance to army to hog the glory of conducting such an operation with ease. They do not know that almost all infantry battalions and their young officers are trained in counter insurgency. If they know, they deliberately ignore. And if they do not know this , it is a shame. What good is a NSA, if he has no idea of his immediately available assets. Such a partisan conduct of the NSA , costs the nation very dearly.

Another major flaw of Mumbai26/11 was that media was allowed to give a running commentary as if it were an Indo- Pak cricket match going on. Nothing strange to know as to how our media helps terrorist handlers in Pakistan to guide and direct the terrorists holed up. Indian media and its political leadership, of all hues and cry, have no idea of the dimensions of National Security. Media is more interested in hiking its TRP ratings by broadcasting live and political leadership is more interested in "one upmanship" over their rivals. Their spicy statements against each other, not only distract soldiers engaged in operations but they also undermine their morale.

Now look at the way Pathankot episode has been handled. A senior Punjab Police officer is abducted and released by the militants. He cries hoarse of likely terrorist attack for 14 hours but no action is taken by the authorities. NSA was only interested in sending the NSG commandos. Punjab police did not share this information with their local military commanders, nor did the NSA. Intelligence was not shared at all, when it was known that Air Force Base was the militant target. Immediately, local Army units should have been deployed and Pathankot Sub Area HQ be made the epicenter of control and coordination. It was not done.

Pathankot has two infantry Brigades and an armoured Brigade. Local Sub Area HQ had no clue as to what was happening. We must know that army formations in peace locations have Counter Terrorism/ Insurgency grid established and units tasked to carry out counter operations. Sub Area HQs are tasked to liaise with civilian counterparts and adopt proper measures to handle such situations. Civil - Military liaison conferences are held for this purpose only. It seems they are only for " Tea and Samoshas".

Even when the army was called in after 14 hours of delayed information, the situation was NOT handed over to army. Air Force wanted to show its own mettle by employing it's so called " Garud Commandos". There was total lack of coordination between Army, Airforce, Punjab Police and NSG. Everyone was on its own. If the information from the abducted SP was properly and timely used, immediate action was to warn the DSC guards at the airbase and an infantry unit despatched to beef up the DSC guards. Terrorists should have been flushed out immediately. It seemed DSC guards had NO idea of impending terrorist attack and they were happily cooking their breakfast.

It is NOT understood why NSG was involved in this operation. Local Army units has their own Bomb disposal units, who could have handled the situation more easily than the elite NSG Commandos.  Why NSG commander was made in charge of the operation while the local units were made to look as spectators. This government is investing too much in its NSA, who, might be good in conducting intelligence operation but  is not capable of handling of physical operations involving troops. It is high time political leadership invest in a CDS, who be given the charge of Internal and external security and all such resources placed at his command. Let NSA deal with covert and strategic operations outside the country.

Again , Media was allowed to make whatever statements they could make. A total mess was created by making contradictory statements and allegations. On the spot interviews were carried out when the operations were still on. It is avoidable. It influences and adulterate the minds of decision makers. It was due to such misleading feed backs that Home Minister, Sh Raj Nath Singh made an announcement on the successful conclusion of the operation on the first day itself , while it lingered on for three days more. Media has to be kept at bay for such operations. Compare this with Pakistan Army 's handling of Peshawar incident in December 2014. Media was not only disallowed to come anywhere near the site of operation but it was also NOT allowed to make comments till the military operation was over. Indian media suffers from overdose of freedom of expression.

In conclusion , I would say, Pathankot incident suffered from lack of coordination ; failure to timely exploit actionable intelligence, over dependence on specialized forces such as NSG and Garuds; Airforce authorities not warning DSC guards and failing to beef them up with so called "Garuds" and not handing over the situation to a local military commander. Instead, it seems the operation was being handled by NSA , sitting in Delhi. What is worse , while everyone else was making statements, the defence Minister of India was kept out of the loop. He should have been first one on board. It is such obnoxious actions, which certify that Pathankot operation was grossly mishandled, even worst than Mumbai 26/11.

Finally, I feel Terrorists goofed up their well planned operation by not killing the SP, his cook and Jeweller. Whatever was the reason, it was their Himalyan blunder and they gave adequate time for "Snail-pace -moving Counter- Terrorism -apparatus" of India to retrieve the situation, though in a very clumsy manner. In , all said and done, Terrorists saved the day for India, for the flimsy way this operation was handled. Mystery remains as to why terrorists, on a suicide Mission, had allowed  the SP to get away live. Was it because of a smuggler friend amongst the terrorists, who saved their lives? If so, where is the Smuggler Friend? Is he the Sixth Terrorist, who has disappeared like the lost Continent of Atlantis? Your guess is as good as mine. Even if he is the prized catch with NSG and its NSA, I would give 2 out 10 'for the whole operation. In terms of real output vis-a-vis the inputs, I reckon it was a miserable failure.

PATHANKOT TERROR ATTACK: SOME UNANSWERED QUESTIONS?

A number of questions arise on the conduct of Salvinder Singh , SP of Gurdaspur police. It seems,  he, willingly or unwillingly has some role to play not only in the  infiltration of terrorists but also in providing them easy access to Pathankot Air Force base. He can not be allowed to get away. Following questions need to be answered by Punjab Police and SP Salvinder Singh :-

1. What is his friendship with a Jeweler , Rajesh Verma?
2. Does the Jeweler have some kind of relationship with Gold / Drug Smugglers?
3. What were Salvinder and Verma doing at 1.30 AM in the border Area on the New Year's Day , when there was a warning by ADGP , HS DHILLON on the possible terrorist attack on New Year's Day?
4. Why SP did not take his security guards with him on this sojourn, when there was a terrorist threat by his ADGP?
5. Which temple in Gurdaspur did he go to pray on the last day of the year?
6. What was his cook Madan Gopal doing with him? Was he a link with Verma or some smugglers?
7. Who was driving the Police Car? Where was SP's official driver?
8. How did the SP convince the terrorist that he was a civilian? Who did they think the SP was?

The above unanswered questions do give a suspicion that SP might have had some direct or indirect connection with Smugglers. Rajesh Verma, the jeweler, might be his indirect conduit  for this connection. There is a theory , which would suggest the purpose of their visit at such an odd hour in the border areas. It is possible that SP and his Jeweler friend were enticed and lured by ISI through a Smuggler connection to come to the border area to facilitate crossing of border of the contraband Gold / Drugs. What is better for terrorists, posing as smugglers, than to use the official vehicle of the police to reach the intended target area. Jeweler was taken along by the terrorists to guide them to the Air Force base.

Now come other set of questions. Here they are :-

9. If terrorists could kill the driver of a taxi they had hired, why did they leave SP and his cook alive in the Dense forest?
10. Did the terrorists really impress SP & Co that they were smugglers and they would make the payment to the Jeweler near their place of dispersal? Did the SP realise that he was trapped ?
11. Why did not the terrorists kill the Jeweler? Was some known smuggler part of the Terrorist group?
12. How come there was a sudden arrest of THREE MOHALI BASED smugglers by Punjab police on 03 January? Where did it get the lead from?
13.  Were these three smugglers conduit in the hiring of a taxi by terrorist with a Pakistani SIM CARD ? It is now alleged by police that the three arrested smugglers had not only Pakistani Sim Cards and Pakistani marks weapons.
14. Who hired Ikagar Singh's taxi on a call from a Pakistani number?
15. Why do we forget a news item in Times of India of a few days back,which claimed that Pakistan had increased the range of their communication transmitters which could ensure use of Pakistani mobiles, some 40-50 KMs across the border?
16. Did our intelligence agencies see a monster in this increased range of Communication transmitter and issue a terrorist threat perception?

The examination of above questions lead us to believe that whole operation might have been planned by ISI and facilitated by Smugglers with their links in the Punjab police. It is a different matter that Indian smugglers did not know the scale and purpose of this operation. Pakistan's ISI might have cleverly used Pakistani smuggler's links with Indian smugglers? Therefore the whole operation seems to be an imprint of ISI all over. SP Salvinder might have realized later that he has been trapped into a terrorist act and as such he let out that KIDNAPPING STORY.

There is also a mismatch in the version given by Jeweler and the SP. While Jeweler say that there were Five men in Army uniform ; the SP maintains that there were four. I am sure both of them know how to count. This is further evidence that their kidnapping story is flawed. They had very much gone for facilitating the smugglers border- crossing, the rest is all bunkum. What is confusing is the fact as to why the Jeweler was left alive with a minor injury ? Or did the jeweler himself inflict a minor injury to add realty to their kidnapping theory? It seems so. Sure, this jeweler has some connection with the Smugglers and police nabbed the Mohali based Smugglers.

My final question is : what happened to sixth terrorist? Was he blown off or captured in a wounded state or he just gave up? Is he the . This terrorist operation is a testimony that PEACE and HARMONY in South Asia is still a very very distant dream. Pakistan Army and ISI would not give up their Animosity with India, however much likes of Nawaz Sharief desire? The reaction of Pakistani media to this incident is a clear indication that Army calls the shots in Pakistan.
