It sums up the state of affairs of Indian politics in 2014. To talk of moralities and ethics in politics is akin to giving a comb to a bald person. I am aghast at the way Indian media and politicians are behaving. Both have thrown national security to the winds. They have been blinded by the craze for TRP and VOTE BANK Politics, respectively. Result: INDIAN DEFENCE AND SECURITY IS IN DOL DRUMS; WHILE CHINA AND PAKISTAN ARE HAVING A HEARTY LAUGH ON INDIAN GOOFS.
Indian media is the worst. It excels in adding fuel to the fire, just for the sake of TRP. They create news by provoking two opposite sides. Narender Modi has rightly called Indian Media as NEWS TRADERS. it would do anything to sell its half cocked news. Unfortunately, politicians, of all hue and cry, are so irresponsible that they fall prey to it. Media, like post office, carries these words from one politician to another and thus stoke fires of disdain, hate and revenge. Non -issues are made Issues. While Media and politicians are busy raping Indian national Security, Election Commission is out of sync with the situation. It only thinks in terms of elections and not the national security, which should be its prime responsibility , during elections. It must stop hate mongering and use of provocative words with a heavy hand.
Take the case of words like monster, butcher, merchant of death, Baukhalye hue Chuhe (Panicking Rats), Jallad (जल्लाद),Zeharila (Poisonous), Paper Tiger, Jija ji (Brother-in-law), and Pakistani agents. It is sad to know that these words are uttered by the highly educated and qualified persons. Who would have thought that Derek Oberoi of TMC, the famous quizz master would stoop so low in his vocabulary. Look at Farook Abdulla, a very seasoned politician, reacting in a most undesirable manner. PRIYANKA Vadra, Jay Lalita, Mamta Bannerjee, Mayawati, Mulayam Singh Yadav, Lalu Yadav, Beni Parsad Verma, Sonia Gandhi, GIRIRAJ Singh of BJP and AZAM Khan of SP, are some of the grand names, who indulge in games of "Name -calling". You would say, as to why I did not include Modi and Rahul Gandhi? Modi, because he is being provoked by others and Rahul has not resorted to name calling. His words like TOFEE MODEL and other rants are within the realm of decent politics.
Election Commission should have acted firmly to check this menace, turning into an epidemic. However, it has not only failed to do so, but shown its bias, too. Why hasn't commission asked UP government to arrest AZAM Khan? Why no action has been taken against Beni Parsad Verma, for his repeated jibes? Why PRIYANKA Gandhi has not been checked from calling political opponents as PANICKING RATS? Why Farook Abdulla has not been questioned for his unethical comment? Electronic media has latched on to these words to widen the gulf between various political opponents.
I personally feel the whole emphasis of all political parties is on MUSLIM VOTERS. There is a horse race amongst all political outfits to garner Muslim votes. They are going overboard with pleas to please Muslim Clerics, who are the VOTE BROKERS of this community. In the bargain, if they have to ignore national security, so be it. Winning election is the foremost criterion. The fools they are, because they do not realise if there is no India tomorrow, where would they win elections. But I don't think they can see beyond their nose and look beneath the surface.
It seems the onus of saving SECULARISM in India is only on the poor Muslims. There is a prevailing myth if Muslims do not vote TACTICALLY, Secular status of India would be damaged. What rubbish? Indian Secularism, perpetuated by years of Congress vote bank politics, is like a city of blinds, where to seed real secularism is like growing wheat in the arid land.
Take the case of VIOLENCE in the BODO areas of Assam. It is a reflection on Congress spread Secularism in India. This kind of secularism has not only affected the demography of tribal areas in Assam but also threatened national security. Issue is not of Muslims versus BODOS or Muslims versus HINDUS, which is the stand of congressmen and other blind politicians of India. Issue is of Foreign Nationals illegally entering India and being settled by politicians unjustifiably, just as their vote bank.
This was the reason, why ASSAM AGITATION had sprung up in 1979. It is still simmering and now it had got the backing of China. It is a very serious matter and it needed to be handled firmly with restraints enforced on the verbal semantics of politicians. While verbal aerobatics are at display, firm handling has been relegated to second place. I think Election Commission has failed in its duty to check political parties, from raising fingers at each other without proper investigation. This slugfest is harmful for national security.
Congress has made this as a HINDU Versus Muslims issue, just to garner Muslim votes in the ongoing elections. How sad that congress has adopted an escapist attitude by palming off the blame to NARENDER Modi. Fact of the matter is that in the interest of NATIONAL SECURITY, India has to NOT ONLY check infiltration from Bangla Desh but also return those who have illegally entered. India. We must know that most of this migration is ISI- Sponsored to tilt the demographic structure and severe North East from India.
Parties like TMC of Mamta Bannerjee are also behaving like congress, may be worse than that. Mamta's recent statement, daring NARENDER Modi to try and return Bangla Deshis to Bangla Desh, speaks about her and her party's "thought - Immobilization" on National security. Such a bankruptcy of thoughts on National security by the political class of India bodes ill for national integrity and defence. Mamta Bannerjee has done enough harm to national security and earliest West Bengal gets rid of her better it is not only for India but also for West Bengal.
It is time Indian politicians pay attention to National security. This includes AAP, whose credentials , too are suspect. Let us not make everything a Majority versus minority issue. It is time Indian Muslims, stop taking the call of MULLAS,/ MAULVIS and vote according to their conscience. It is time they consider themselves at par with others and second to none. It is time for them to shoo away religious clerics and divisive politicians. They ought to live in 21st Century.

Every politician must know the rudimentary fact that to govern this country effectively, everyone must be treated equally, without considerations of caste, creed, religion, language and region. This is Secularism. Divisive provisions of "Reservations" must go. Everyone must get equal opportunities to grow in a flat but INDIANISED LANDSCAPE.
