DEEP ASSETS" AND NATIONAL SECURITY !

"-------Kya Bharat jaise bade desh ke liye kurbani dene waalon ko yahi milta hai' (Is this the reward a person gets for sacrificing his life for India')-- laments Ravinder Kaushik, an Indian RAW agent, who died in Pakistani jail, in Sept 2001. His family gets a mere 500 Rs per month!
Almost 13.5 years later, an Indian Defence Minister, says in a remorseful tone: "After all, you have to build deep assets. Deep assets are created over 20-30 years. Sadly, there were some prime ministers who compromised deep assets."------ Sh. Manohar Parrikar , Raksha Mantri.
Was he referring to Ravinder Kaushik alias "Black Tigger" or Maj Nabi Ahmed Shakir of Pakistan Army. Born in April 1952, in Ganganagar, Rajasthan ; recruited as RAW agent in 1973 and sent to Pakistan in1975; went to KARACHI, did his LLB, got commission in Pak army ; rose to be a Major; exposed in 1985 in a botched up operation by RAW ; Sentenced to death Languished in Pak jails and died in 2001. Purportedly, Bollywood blockbuster of Salman Khan,EK THAA TIGER, was based on his life.

Obviously , he was not referring to him because he was talking of dismantling of assets. Then, why is Congress party so touchy and making noise? Definitely , Indra Gandhi won't have done and in Nehru's times, such games were not played. News paper reports suggest that it was during IK GUJRAL's time. Well! One cannot say but one thing is clear that "BARSATI "( Short time) PRIME MINISTERS won't see beyond their nose as for as national security is concerned.
Why should then, congress be worried? I think Congress has a guilty conscious because it had a big hand in the dismantling of TSSD (Technical Support Division) of army in 2012. TSSD, created in 2010 had begun to do a good job in J&K. Terrorists in the valley were on the run and its supporters were getting exposed. Politicians who had nexus with them were getting exposed. It had penetrated this nexus. Of course money plays its part in such operations.
Ravindra Kaushik (1952–2001) was a former RAW agent who was caught and jailed in Pakistan where he eventually died.[1][2][3][4]
